Nice personal touches.  I think I've even seen a Mk 18 in the hands of a special ops guy during training (photo somewhere on the web) that they did away with the front sight post and he had a free float picatinny handguard on it with a "beer can" flash suppressor.

Yeah, they started doing that with the mod 1s. This setup was/is significantly cheaper lol

Yeah you gotta build it to budget for sure.  lol  You want the super cool shit you're gonna pay for it.  I had to do with my pistol AR.  That was some money.  I had to buy quite a few individual parts for that build which ran up costs.  No lower parts kit with a stock included could do the job without a tax stamp.  It was worth it.  I get to enjoy it as a pistol till I get a tax stamp for it.

It's still a great build no doubt.  Really damn nice man.
