If I may, I might suggest a relief cut for the bottom tang part, like the top has. so it will sit flush with the stock. Again, Great Idea! Quote Link to comment

I have a thread for about half the work on this one already, and was going to cross link link in the thread you posted in too. 2) Actually it is. I the lower tang is actually countersunk for flush fit #10 machine screws, but I accidentally bought button head, so I used them for now. I will change them out and paint the ferule after I stain the wood. Quote Link to comment
