I made a ferule with two tangs to reinforce the stock where it joins with the hinge. The stock is aproximately Warsaw length with the ferule, hinge and Kick Eez pad. It has 16 oz of mercury inside to cancel out Mr. Newton.

Great Idea man! reminds me of the milled receiver stocks. You should share your info(if you want) in the wood folder tutorial. If I may, I might suggest a relief cut for the bottom tang part, like the top has. so it will sit flush with the stock. Again, Great Idea!

1) Planned. I have a thread for about half the work on this one already, and was going to cross link link in the thread you posted in too.

 

2) Actually it is. I the lower tang is actually countersunk for flush fit #10 machine screws, but I accidentally bought button head, so I used them for now. I will change them out and paint the ferule after I stain the wood.
