Shandlanos 1,470 Posted August 13, 2012 Report Not a good plan... .40 cal extractor will happily hold a 9mm shell... Can't tell anything is wrong by feel - try to chamber a .40 in a .45, it just drops down the barrel. Quote Link to comment

Goose 95 Posted August 30, 2012 Report Alot of the time a .45acp will hang on to and fire a .40sw. A 9mm will fire but not eject a .380, same with .357sig through a .40sw. Putting a .45acp in your Judge/Gov without in a moon clip may or may not result with a round firing or the round just sliding forward in the cylinder. However you cannot chamber 7mm mag in a 7mm mauser. All of these I encountered this month and have thus lost faith in the human race Quote Link to comment
Goose 95 Posted August 30, 2012 Report Thank God (knock on wood) that it's usually impossible to get a round to fire if it's bigger than the gun was designed to handle, since that's how calibers work, because it seems more and more people refuse to read safety manuals or even pay attention to what's going on these days.
