gunfun 3,931 Posted February 21, 2013 Report I used to play a lot of paintball. I played in wet coastal woods, broken down warehouses, ponderosa type woods, sage brush, etc. I found the very worst was the desert storm camo, even in deserts, then the classic army camo. The best was mostly greys. I had some real tree knock off stuff that was like broken up sticks and bark that was very versatile. I also had some old (60s) carhardt pants I had tried to dye black that stayed grey with yellow/ brown undertones. Those made great camo because they just seemed to fit into every color scheme. For the most part though, I kind of quit caring what camo was worn as long as it wasn't glaringly out of place colors. It matters more when you move and where then what you wear. Moving when the wind blows or when people are doing stuff matters more then blending and staying still. Most people make enough noise themselves to cover your movements even if you are fairly close. Tan camo is always the wrong color to match the dust. What works for you is going to depend on your area. And yes, this is just my opinion. Quote Link to comment
Shankspony 40 Posted February 21, 2013 Report I had great success with desert camo in leaves in the woods... other than, stuck out like a sore thumb. 1 Quote Link to comment
Ronin38 2,117 Posted February 21, 2013 Report I really like the Seclusion 3D from Cabelas, but like GunFun said, it's more about the movement. Once when I was out hunting (long ago), I walked right up on an old lady wearing an old NCO jacket, just dark red and black plaid. Did NOT see her leaning up on an old tree! The Gulaflage 10 looks like something I pulled out of my bathtub drain! Quote Link to comment
