Yes it is. However if you look at the pic of the .308 VEPR in my gallery you'll notice that you can really get people's attention with it with the right lighting.

 

The clear coat on it and the stain really likes a lot of light for photos.

 

I'm betting you're gonna have fun with that rifle, I know I like my .308 that's for sure. :)
