Foxtrot Oscar 37 Posted May 16, 2013 Report better options in this price range, Stryker? Quote Link to comment
SHOTGUN MESIAH 855 Posted May 16, 2013 Report POS... sorry Why so? Granted it doesn't have the kick of a Microtech, but still a very reliable well made blade. Now Paragon's are complete junk, stay away from those. Quote Link to comment
SHOTGUN MESIAH 855 Posted May 16, 2013 Report better options in this price range, Stryker? I'm a OTF kinda guy. I don't like to thumb diddle my knives. Quote Link to comment
storm6490 2,768 Posted May 16, 2013 Report The reason they are pieces of shit is because they fail to lock up all the time. Benchmade makes good blades and bad blades. They even make blades in china now. This one has mostly american parts but will eventually need to be returned. People who actually carry and use this blade will find that out themselves. For less money you can get a UT6 MolonLabe. Benchmade should stick to bali-song knives when it comes to exotics. G2 steel will break on a rib. These blades are good for skydiving and airborne. Other than that, they are pretty much a showpiece. Quote Link to comment
storm6490 2,768 Posted May 16, 2013 Report I guess I should clarify. This blade is a piece of shit compared to a Microtech of any model. Quote Link to comment

I have no complaints whatsoever about this knife and this is coming from a Microtech Guy. Quote Link to comment
storm6490 2,768 Posted May 17, 2013 Report I had one of the first ones to hit the market. It locked up on me after a few weeks in my harness. Not much hardcore action, just a bunch of dust and some rain. It was wiped down daily. My buddy who deals them refunded me my money and it went to an old Halo. The old halo is perfect for jumping. The blade looks odd but serves a purpose. I have had many awesome benchmade knives over the years and this was not one of them. A friend of mine who got stuck for life in harmony church stuck one into (something hard) and had the blade break off in the (object). I don't thing high carbon steel is such a good idea on an otf because it depends on a mount inside the handle. Exactly where it snapped of. I may have had a fluke. Even if it did work perfect. I would not pay more than 150 bucks for this blade. It's a million miles away from a microtech. Quote Link to comment
