I am not good enough of a photographer to get the whole sight picture in focus at the same time and evenly lit.

 

What I am trying to show is that the front ring visually matches the width of the "horns" on the sight rail when mounted.

 

Also you can line up the veritcal line on the vent rib with the origninal bead sight on the rail and the tritium post in the dinzag front sight post. Thus it works for a fast sight like a vent rib and can be used for more precise slug aiming easily too. Leaving the bead allows you to estimate drop with the same method as a dual bead vent rib setup.
