If you were of similar height/weight, I'd lay a whole paycheck that he'd have you tapping out.

We did a black bar and white stripes on top for our kids. Through each of the belt transitions, so they always had some measure of accomplishment, it seemed like it was really effective in keeping their interest. We also had special gi patches made as rewards for maintaining good grades at school so to instill a strong body, requires a stronger mind.
