  1. Currently in NJ but will be moving to Hartwell in a few months
  2. Does anyone no any gun shops in Northern or Central NJ that sell Saiga's ? My buddy has his heart set on a .308 but can't find one.
  3. I've been checking .308 ammo on line. It seems like most affordable ( under $30 per box) .308 on line is "SOLD OUT". I've seen this on about 10 -15 different companies on line, and it's only with .308. Has anyone else noticed this?
  4. Smith & Wesson M&P 15. Does anyone have any experience with this gun? Gander Mountain has them for $799 after $100 rebate. Kind of tempting but I can't find much info or reviews of this gun. Anyone have any info to share?
  5. This is a perfect example why kids should be taught about guns at a young age. If she was , she would have known not to touch it.
  6. Just came back from a trip to "Wally World" and bought the new issue of Combat Arms. On page 114 they did a test on Saigas. Both carbines a .223 with a skeleton stock and a .308 with standard stock. One of the testers who serves as a federal agent and is a retired SWAT officer wound up buying the .223 he was so impressed with it. Overall pretty good reviews. check it out.
  7. Check out the Walther P99. I'm 5'6" and also have small hands, but with the P99 it comes with interchangable back straps for the hand grip & mag. releases on both sides which makes it a very comfortable gun to shoot lefty or righty. It's also a very simple accurate gun. It breaks down very easily into 4 parts and comes in a few different trigger styles. For compitition you would probally be interested in the "QA", quick action trigger. The only drawback it has is no external safety, but you won't be dissapointed. I've put about 2000 40cal rds through it with absolutely no problems.
  8. I had the same problem with SST's in my 20ga. H&R USH. Got way better groups with the Federal Vital Shock with the blue ballistic tip Barnes Expander. Cost more but worth it.
  9. Cool look. I have a stock 695 with a 3x9. With Lightfield Hybreds I can do 1"at 100yds, haven't shot past that distance but I heard Lightfields drop like a brick after 125yds. I'd like to hear how the SST's do.
  10. I basically want to hear peoples opinions. I'm looking for tactical but practical preferablly 3x9. Something I can use for target out to 100-150yds but something I can also hunt with, without spending more than the gun cost me. Every opinion and idea helps.
  11. I'm new to saiga's just got mine a little over a week ago. It's a .308 with a 16" barrel and skeleton stock. I'm still trying to decide what scope to put on it. I'm not to fond of the POSP look scopes. Anyone have ideas or pictures. I like a tactical look but here in the great firearm friendly state of NJ I don't want it to look too tactical. I saw 2 made by Leapers a 3-12x44 & a rubber armored 3x9. All the reviews that i've seen for Leapers are good but, I never had any experience with them. Pictures if you got them. Thanks.
