  1. 5 of those are mine, back away.
  2. Are you high? Pointer, you forgot the big one: PELOSI I guess I wasn't clear enough. They passed a ban in '94, later that year they lost both the house and senate. Kerry ran on reauthorizing in '04, remember what happened to him? I can't remember it coming up even one time in '06, if you can could you provide a link? I know there are the usual suspects but can you actually imagine them coming near that hornets nest with a ten foot pole now? I can't. Even the most 'activist' among them have bigger problems to deal with than something that politically suicidal right now.
  3. We were going as fast as we could before. The first magazine bodies are done and we will begin filling orders in the order that they were placed. I think you misunderstood me and rereading my post, I see it wasn't too clear. Now that the libs hold power, are you guys stepping up "overall production". I don't mean are you speeding up your current production. I guess what I am asking is are you guys planning on really gearing up to make an assload of these babies in leiu of another high cap magazine ban? Has this effected the overall quantity you were planning on making? Where have
  4. If you mean that your trigger is still in the factory position then it won't work for you.
  5. That's interesting, a professional gunsmith whose reputation preceeds him just learned something valuable on this forum! I think that's pretty cool.
  6. What this comes down to is that the ATF may revisit the importation of Saiga rifles at some point in the future, not the present. It may never revisit it for all any of us know. They could do this with or without the magazine being available. The magazine availability may play a role in future decisions, it may not. The point, as always, is get them while you still can.
  7. I think a good idea would be to allow the preorder deal to run until they get to the magic number of 1500 that they had mentioned in the beginning.
  8. It sounds like the refelective portion is attached to a honeycomb that would allow the air to pass through. Seems like an option worth exploring if only I knew where to find such an item and what to ask for when I got there. I think I've seen it in the Furnace section of Home Depot. I suppose other hardware stores might have it as well.
  9. Have you ever seen that metal insulation tape? It's almost like corrugated cardboard, you wouldn't need to worry about the studs then.
  10. As one of the folks who got in early on the pre-order list you certainly have my permission to extend it. I won't feel cheated in any way shape or form. If it allows you to do more business I'm all for it, as I'm sure everyone else is. Extend away!
  11. Which RSA trigger did you use? I don't see one specifically for the Saiga 308.
  12. Could you provide a link to the information on Vepr mags?
  13. I've pondered this one as well. With FAL mags there would be room for additional metal for a feed ramp of sorts. There is about a 1/4 inch gap between my FAL mag and the trunion. A new trunion that simply extends back a bit more would add that much more metal for strength. Of course you would need a different mag latch. If I were a machinist it would be interesting to see if one could be made from one of those 80% FAL receivers. Now that's a day dream.
  14. Would you mind sharing a link to that info? I don't see any mags on the Vulcan site, but I could just be blind. Thanks
  15. Here is one for you. It's quite detailed, with lots of pictures. http://www.cross-conn.com/Saiga_Conversion/index.htm
