  1. What about this buffer? I saw the link on where to purchase but do you just purchase the one for the ak47?
  2. So yesterday, I got my new converted S12 back from Will. I want to test the gas settings along with some new and old AGP mags. The closest range to me does not allow bird shot, only buck and slug(it's in door). What are some low power rounds I should try? Also read something about a buffer? Longer life? What should I try? Thanks!
  3. Just had a chance to put the new follower in the old mag bodies with everything else being the same and new follower will not go pass the guide channel.
  4. I have not done anything to the old or new mag bodies as far as taking them apart. The screws look tight and it seems to fit as well as the new ones. The issue may have been the follower all along so what I'll try to do later is put the new mag internals in the older mag bodies and if the follower does not pop out of the guide channel then the follow maybe out of spec. At that point I'll call Kevin and see what they can do.
  5. I recently received 2 new AGP mags that I order from here to join 2 older mags that I also ordered from here when I first got my Saiga-12. Notice something that I'm not sure would be an issue. On the 2 newer mags the follower does not all the way up to the black metal stopper lip. On my older mags if you push the follower down and let it bounce up it will come all the way up. Now you could push the follower down and slowly let it up and it will stop where the follower on the new one does. Does anyone else notice this with their mags and if so is it an issue? The reason I ask is because I
  6. This seems very interesting. Have you tried it yourself? Yes, it worked great! The mount includes 3 different screw lengths - I used the longest ones for the S12. I did, however, forget to include the scope rings and picked-up a set of Simmons locally for $8. I think this is going to be my solution. Thanks for the help.

  8. Thanks for the help guys I'll look into this option. Shooter2's setup looks very nice.
  9. I want to mount a flashlight on the barrel of my S12. What are some of my options? Thanks.
  10. I did the research and put my deposit down with Red-Stick Firearms to have my Saiga 12 covert to their RTS-ZK-12. It's gonna be a long 10-15 weeks of waiting till they are ready to have me ship my shotgun to them for the conversion but I'm still pretty hyped about it. Wanted to go with Tromix at first but didn't want to wait till next year. Now all I need are a few more AGP mags and an MD drum and I'll be good to go.
  11. I had a similar issue with mine though the shells would stop completely. Strange thing was that they worked 100% when I first got them but on my 3rd trip to the range(about 50 rounds through each of my 2 mags so far) they started jamming. Troubleshot a little and round that both followers moved freely with no rounds loaded in the mags but with rounds load full I could only get about 2-3 shots before it started to jam. Called Kevin and he advised to try some light sanding or oil. Tried oil in it and it didn't help and called Kevin to get more advice before I made mods to the mags that I cou
  12. So are E-Tac and Red Stick the 2 best after Tromix? I think I'm going to go ahead and get mine converted too and since I'm not smith who are the best out there after Tromix?
  13. Thanks for all the help and reply. I like this gun pretty much the way it is and really just wanted a better buttstock and pistol grip. I'm no gunsmith and I don't really know any gunsmith here in Georgia that could/would do a full Saiga 12 conversion. Thus, I'm looking for bolt-on parts that will get me what I want and still keep me legal. I do plan on getting a fully converted Saiga 12 and from the little I know Tony/Tromix does the best work and it is in my price range(too bad he is booked up and the wait is long long long). Also I do have 2 US 10 round mag from AGP(I'm also waiting fo
  14. Ok, thanks. So it seems that from the factory it comes set to 2 or atleast it did for me. I have now set it to 1 and will go to the range soon to test.
  15. Alright, I just got a my Saiga 12 recent and it came out of the box with the 2 at 7 o'clock and the 1 is at 3 o'clock if I'm looking down the barrel. Does this mean that the regulator is set to the 2 setting which should be used for light load or the 1 setting for heavy load? I just want to be sure since it's a new toy. If anyone has pictures that would be great. Thanks. Edit: Mine is set just like the one in this picture.
