Yea, looks good, although the longer version hides some of the barrel for those of us that dont have that short barrel license. IMHO In addition its interesting how everyone changes their mood when Tony steps in.

I have dealt with a lot of rifles and for the s12 I kinda like it. I have been looking around for quite some time for a decent hand guard other than the stock plastic crap or the monolithic quad rails that look like something out of star wars and are no longer made. Not saying im going to buy it, I think the price is too high but I am glad new ideas are coming out.

Mine threads all the way down, with no visible threads when completely tight.

In addition to the excellent above stated comments if you have the rifle converted to add a pistol grip some of the recoil is felt in your hand and in the shoulder, much easier to fire in my opinion.

I just had my saiga converted which was done very well but I do not like the bho in the trigger area. When I lift my finger it drags on the catch. I was courious what you guys do to elivate this problem, or do I just deal with it? Maybe Cobras new lrbho will fix this but I am not sure. It seems if it was flat it would be easier on the fore finger.

I just bid on it, seems like a fair price.

Since I cannot seem to find a hand guard with a picatinny rail on the under side so I can add a foward grip I was thinking of adding one my self. I ordered a set of 3 differant sized rails each with 2 screw mounting points and was wondering if that would be secure enough mounted on the stock hand guard? This is the only option I can think of but maybe you guys have some insight? Any ideas or previous trials would be helpfull and or images.

Is there a metal option for the lower hand guard other than the quad rail?
