  1. Thanks Ruffian72 Which length do you have on your s12? If i was going to go folder, Id prolly get the 7.5.
  2. Hi, I have an internal block adapter on my converted S12 has anyone else gone with the ACE stocks? I'm thinking the 8.5" will probably be good w/o a folding mechanism. Any opinions on the quality if these stocks?
  3. I'm not a lawyer; what did this guy get sued for? Was he sued by a fictitious creature or religious deity? "...Windsor was named a defendant in a civil lawsuit (1:06-CV-0714-ODE) in which Christopher Glynn of Maid of the Mist in Niagara Falls, swore under oath that Windsor did a variety of things including the crimes of theft and bribery..." or mebbe Maid of the Mist is a hotel?
  4. That's awesome! Post a pic when it's all framed up...
  5. Hi everyone. I joined mostly to get opinions and advice on my Saiga .308 build. I read a LOT more than I post.

  6. so the ATF announcement was about the Taurus 28 guage revolver? anyone have a copy of their monday ruling?
  7. Yeah, I suspected they were full of it.... however the closest I have to an AK is my Saiga.
  8. Heard someone bragging about how the Norinco is considered the Cadillac of AKs... Is this true? I've never been fond of them, personally.
  9. 10/22s are the premier do anything .22... I like mine alot. However, my fave's gotta be the 22 converted Uzi.
  10. ah, ok I keep forgetting about the domestic vs import requirements... Thanks guys.
  11. Thanks for the info regarding the .223 - 5.56 rounds... I've been using them interchangeably for years. I'm glad I've found this forum... always something new to learn. Incidentally... I have a 10 day wait before I can bring the Saiga .308 home.
  12. That's quite a collection... Those folders look really neat... were they the same between the .223 and .308 rifles?
  13. Is it just not offered? As far as I can recall, that's been one I liked the look of.
  14. Cool... is it like the .308 where the civillian round has the higher pressure?
  15. Thanks GunnyR (4 the welcome as well) Your response had me check my rifles... Ishapore Enfield Jungle is 7.62 and Valmet 76 is stamped .308 Win. I'll keep the .308 away from that tanker carbine. My retired Capt went by the nickname of GunnyG... so I take it you were /are a Gunnery Sargent?
  16. I've always thought they were the same round ( like .223 & 5.56 NATO ) however some posts seem to treat them as if they are different rounds. Am I mistaken?
  17. by the way... We challenged the SF handgun ban (which included the sale / transfer of ALL firearms and ammnition within city limits) and won an injunction and finally its abolishion in Jan of this year. Taking some of the PC out of the PRC.
  18. my first Saiga was around $179 with $25 dros and tax here in the PRC. $140 is such a great deal... wish there were more gunstores locally, but city politicians done most of them in. For the record; I like the Saiga forend... if I had my druthers, the galil looking ones are what I'd install.
  19. I'm a long time bullpup fan, passed up on an AK variant years ago in fact... I shot beta c mags out of my Steyr AUG as well as M17 Bushmaster and agree that bullpups and drums don't work too well (already mentioned was the interference against your chest). It also gets in the way on the right side, against your fore arm.
  20. Those are gorgeous... Hi everyone (I have one Saiga in 7.62 x39 and a .308 on the way)... My other two varients are a preban Valmet 308 M76 and an MAK 90. Unfortunately the shotguns are unobtainable here in the PRC.
