  1. Would that be a "semi"-automatic nailgun that looks similar to a "fully" automatic one? I can see it now H.R. 26,754 the "assault" nail gun ban.
  2. When I have been asked, I just state the overall parts count and the US made parts that I have installed to bring the count below 10. I have not been asked by a LEO at a traffic stop though.
  3. The question that guy needs to be asked is, in my opinion, why do you think you have the right to tell anyone else what they can own?
  4. +1, It is great having the PG hole already in it.
  5. You can talk to cobra customs, or do it yourself for the FCG. I would actually look localy for the piston install first, the guys here seem pretty busy. Maybe one of them could get it done for you. reason for edit: MUST read fully before typing
  6. This video features a Saiga 7.62x39. Is is done the same way on the .20 Gauge? Also i'm interested in doing the conversion on the 20 guage. Where can I obtain all the parts to do it? Yes, the basics are the same. The vendors on this forum can get you pretty much anything you need. I converted my s-12 using tromix parts, my .233 with dinzag parts.
  7. +1 on the handguard, the only other thing I can think of that would remotely come close would be a buttstock. But that is still alot harder than the front handguard IMO.
  8. I just figured I would ask the NRA about this. This is the response I got. Thank you for your email. We are aware of the de-mil brass issue and have been in contact with officials at DOD regarding this matter and are working to get it resolved. Please check our website www.nraila.org or contact us directly via email or 800-392-8683 for future updates. Sincerely, Susan Christman NRA-ILA Grassroots Division
  9. Thanks, but I really dont want to put any more money in it, unless one of these was a surefire fix? which one would you try first? Tell you what, I'll send you a tappet. If it fixes your problem, pay the invoice, if it doesn't take care of your problem then send it back. Sound reasonable? THAT is customer service. It also shows a faith in your product.
  10. I would go with a .223 myself. The round is more prevelant in the states, Plus there are more models of firearms here chambered in the round. There are more companies making ammo in .223. But, the pres. has basically said the era of affordable ammo is over when he gets around to taxing it.
  11. Only if you can find one these days. People can advertise any price they want on something they can't sell you.
  12. They are waiting for the right "crisis" to take advantage of.
  13. The "legs" of the hammer spring are what forces the trigger foward and should cause the disconector to release. I would check those first.
  14. From what I've read it is the same Brady campaign "retread" list that they have put out every year. We will see if B.O. thinks that he has earned enough political capital to upset a large block of the voters.
  15. Got my .223 converted. Dinzag FCG, trigger screw set, and grip screw Falcon arms folding stock DPH no thread hider SAW grip surefire 30 round magazine RAA scope mount 4x scope
  16. Here is mine. Tromix DIY trigger guard, FCG, and sharkbreak Russian front sight block SAW grip used M4 stock (thanks Gas Giant) AGP 10 rounder Surefire front hand guard
  17. I did my s-12 and .223 on an old desk. You can do it if you take your time. The one thing you will need to find is a very good and stable place to be able to knock out the ground off rivets. Here is the first conversion guide I used. http://www.cross-conn.com/Saiga_Conversion/ It is for a rifle but alot of the principals are the same. If you are looking for a "true" AK look check out Dinzag's site. He also has links to some cool furniture options. Cobra customs also have some cool ideas. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=31210 and http://forum.
  18. I bought a magazine from ML Roak. He was GREAT to do busniess with. I wouldn't think twice about doing busniess with him again.
  19. What an exciting time for Dinzag. They are in my prayers and many blessings to him and his family.
  20. Is the hammer in Backwards?
  21. Two things come to mind to check. First, does the trigger need to be "pushed" foward to get the sear to engage the hammer? Second, work the FCG with the bolt carrier out using your thumb to control the hammer. I wonder if you need to get more tension with the hammer spring on the rear legs of the trigger.
  22. Forgive the quality, (cell phone) [attac hment=29349:IMG00006.jpg]
  23. This is the only thread I have seen. It has some pics. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=35977
