If the plastic at the top of the grip is thick enough, you might just take some material off with a dremel. I did it with another grip and it worked pretty well.

Was poking around on progress at Molot (maker of Veprs). They were in deep dodo for a while - couldn't pay their employees. Apparently Russian government is bailing them out, but looks like the price of the bailout was to move all weapons manufacture to Izhmash. Another interesting development was that it seems Russians got Beretta to move in to build guns for sale to Russia and other CIS states. Here is the article I found: Russian newspaper Does anyone know anything newer/better? If the news is accurate it sure is a sad moment. Veprs were so good.

Bullet guide is just a good idea in general. Will make all the military mags as good options for your rifle.

This setup looks really good to me actually. And anything that has so many mods done to it, will run you up to 1K at least. The only question I have is - how do you clean the gas tube on this thing? It looks like you'd have to take off quite a few pieces using a screwdriver just to get to it, no? Would it retain 0 after you remount the rail and optics on it? -
Dude - why so touchy? You ask question, they answer, perhaps with a bit of humor. Grab a beer, laugh it off mate!

Thank you bro for posting this! I was looking for a new dustcover and a solid beryl-style rail, so this is just perfect!

I was in the same situation as you - didn't do enough initial research. I got lucky since I bought RSA's 308 Vepr unit, which has trigger legs high enough to engage safety. But it did have right-to-left movement and after reading Dinzag's post on what can happen if you just let it be like that, I decided to solve it. There are two easy ways to do it: 1. Get a spring that goes over the axis and cut it to just the right length, so that it pushes trigger assembly from the left side. I got very good results with this approach. 2. You can also get an aluminum spacer, I believe, 1/4" length i

Where to get rail to screw into stock foregrip
oxyehho replied to finslayer83's topic in Saiga 7.62 X 39
I used an M4 rail - it has just the right angle to compensate for the handguard slope. -
I used both types and like the older one - it is more solid. The new one is much much thinner and it just didn't fill the retaining slots completely - allowing some pin walking.

PG Nut being too long is a common thing. Two easy solutions available - make a square shim - usually from the remnants of a Klinton plate, or use a reinforcement plate.

Yep, this is what I do now - subforum by subforum. Hallelujah! Problem finally solved. Don't know what magic happened on the server side, but it's nice to be able to use the board to its full extent again! -
Dinzag also fixes left-to-right travel of the trigger on it's axis. S308 has a wider trigger opening than all other Saigas, due to an extra piece of metal welded to the OEM trigger body. Bottom line - S308 - is begging for Dinzag's unit.

You maybe putting the spring upside down. Happened to me a few times. Once you put it in the right way, it clicks in place under pressure.
