  1. I got one going myself.... but I'm getting carried away. Have fun with the work you do to it, ejoy the build as much as shooting it.
  2. There Your's. This is a great way to get rid of all those boxes and styrofoam peanuts.
  3. I'll play, adding a Standard AK stock slip on butt pad and 8 receiver plugs.
  4. Standard model with the scope and in black is a premium package. To me it's ugly but I bet it's a nice nice to play with. let me know how you like it after the range trip.
  5. send her on vacation without any of you. a gift certificate to the day spa
  6. I found another person that's sitting on 10K rounds of ammo he wants to off on the cheap. A+
  7. I was spoiled years ago with the cheap kits. $69 for a rommy matching numbers. Yugo's, milled Bulgy's, Etc..... I'll pass on the Egyptian kits. I scored the crutch folder and poop brown PG for my MADDI's already. The days of kit building for me are all but over. I do miss the time well spent pulling barrels, bending flat recievers, welding rails, installing rivets.......... Sigh
  8. The first one I bought I paid $110 for with one mag and 45 rounds of ammo, that was in the mid 90's when they were imported. Back then, For $250 you could buy 3 rifles. I regret Everyone I sold over the years. I'm back up to 6 of these now, with a pile of parts and a bigger pile of ammo for them. I'll be happy with a baker's dozen.
  9. I got around to taking some pics of the latest purchase. A Czech VZ52 rifle, She manufacturing in 1954 I does have a decent bore and clean chamber for a rifle that has never seen non-corrosive ammo. Butt plate is great, handguard is very good and the bayonet locks up tight. I like to refinish these thing to a respectable condition, but this one has some interesting carvings. Almost all are carved in some way, names, cities, symbols.... The Carvings; The stock is marred on the last letter. It's a name, either Adan or Adam Chinandega is a city in Nicaragua AAP
  10. I'll add more. WASR-10 with a K-Var kit don't forget the I.O. STG 2000c I kinda like the looks I had to add heat shelds to the handguards
  11. Honestly, not that much.... I'd have to place a build price tag on it for Under $200. I had all the parts. Rommy front end. - incomplete Krebs GB/FS - free from some where Fake can, it was a alum tie rod from an IMCA car - made to fit Bulgy upper, Polish lower, Rommy PG - extra parts Russian Tula mag - gotta collect mags with the rifles Rear adj. MOJO peep sight - i don't know Leftside Polish selector lever. The stock i made myself from tubing. Cut, weld and grind. The butt plate is from a WASR wood drag stock. Put together on a Flat with a G2
  12. I found a shotgun and a 22 in the back of one of my safes I forgot I owned. Don't even remember buying them. That was like X-mas morning, but with guns! Wait......... X-mas morning normally does involve guns at my place.
  13. Ugly AK"s???? Really??? No such thing!! Odd, deformed, demented, took only half the abortion pill....... OK. AMD might be on the odd format... But it was specific by design, and YES I do one so no need for that pic. But; Parts bin AK. Boredom and a crate full of spare parts gave birth to multi-national AK Yeah it's pink.... No it's not a Saiga. I built it off a flat and Rommy kit. Everyone puts AK handguards on thier Saiga's.... I put Saiga handguards on an AK. MAK-90 with some custom wood working on a Rommy stock and pump shotgun forearm Don't forget these wond
  14. Gents, sorry about the short notice. Tis that time again. :) This weekend at the Center of Progress Bld, NY State Fairgrounds. http://www.syracusegunshow.com/
  15. In NY taxes on a single pack of smokes is $4.25 I remember in 1985 in GA, on post, Marb Reds were $7 a carton. 1987 in Panama the little 5 packs of Marb Reds were 5 cents, But a can of beer was 25 cents from the vending machines and 90 cents for a liter mug of beer in town.
  16. Let's see more pics, love camo paint jobs. Minerial spirits will remove the tape sticky without ruining the paint job. Let it dry then wipe it lightly with a soft cloth and some spirits. Then clear it.
  17. LOL, Correctness can be fun. Like when the EX-wife's lawyer pulled out pictures of my rifles. One after the other, waiting for me to say AK-47 so he could call it an assault rifle. In all honesty... I don't own one.... Romanian AIM, Hungarian AMD, Egyptian MAADI, Chinese MAK-90......... etc etc etc.... Pissed him off. LOL
  18. that book i out of print... but there's alot of info on this matter.. 60 miles off???? someone's a little off on that milage. he was landing at Beaufort NC.... they picked him up in Ahoskie NC. About 100 miles. when asked about ejecting above a thunder storm--------- having previously experienced a bail out amidst enemy fire in Korea, a bit of inclement weather didn’t seem all that off-putting. the vid doesnt mention he walked to a road, flagged down a car that took him to a country store, where HE called for an ambulance. Bill Rankin was a level headed hardcore soldier
  19. that's an insane ride..... now i gotta find the book
  20. First step in Zombism. Next week they'll be coming after you, hand and foot sandwiches........ As Troy Landry would say... "CHOOT 'EM"
  21. I wouldn't. I still see Mak-90's locally every now and again, every other month or so. Most I would EVER give for a MINT Mak would be $650. Most sell around $550-$600. (386) is the Polytech Arsenal.... 95% of all milled Mak's came out of there, doesn't mean a thing when you start talking Polytechs and/or Legends.
