  1. Come on guys, I cant be the only one with a collection of odd rifles. Let's see some pics of your stuff. Here's some more from me; FR-7, FR-8, Strange piece of history I have the correct bayonets and slings for these also And my Favorites, VZ52's. Why? Czech's made a nice weapon. Total odd ball in 7.62x45mm
  2. I wasn't to impressed. The idea of a pupped SKS is nothing I wish to own. I'm a lefty so bullpups tend to take out teeth with the bolt handle. I wouldn't mind hearing about it when you get it together.
  3. I can drag a 8' folding table and chairs along, no problem. As for rain, AK's were made to get wet. Can't be any worse than skeet shooting with Nailbomb in a snow storm with Saiga's.
  4. ??????????? OH THE JOY Now your gonna make me dig deep in the toy bins. Jake, I might need some help here.
  5. OK, Back to the subject. Date, Time and flavor. Or at least Caliber. LOL I can bring my crate of spare AK & SKS parts if someone wants to do some horse trading? I'm NOT bringing the wife. BUT, 22 Shooter, I wouldn't mind meeting that Avatar of yours.
  6. Yeah, I know. Cant show up at your place empty handed anyways, unless I'm on the bike.
  7. Indy, I'm in. Missed this post I've been off line. Find a date and open the gate. The only question is, What do I bring?????? I'll have to load a Mosin crate of miscellaneous hardware. How about FOOD? 22 Shooter, Sorry all my steel has holes in it, the only thing left is a manhole cover. Nailbomb, Thanks for the jingle on this?????, No more beer for your house, I'm cutting you of at the 13 cases! LOL
  8. I like the M's and D's in the original configure, dont like fitting drums to them. < Mod a Yugo for that. The carry handle might be a interesting thing to aquire
  9. SKS Drum - Good deal. I still got one, dont use it though. It's worth more than a SKS.
  10. Other than the complete #'s matching Abby, I never paid more than $200 for an SKS.
  11. OK who else likes the SKS's There's been more added to the collection since this pic, It's Abby through Yugo Beat up Yugo 59/66 that I got for $100 Cut the barrel down to 17" and recrowned, pressed and pinned a Chinese front sight on it. Cut, weld and grinded the rear sight off clean and added a G3 rear sight to the receiver cover. My German clone, built it from a nutered Russian
  12. Cobra, I dont mind the mag, the wood PG is kinda, almost, maybe. But you gotta lose the Rommy sling.
  13. I modded some of the German MPI-69 trainer mags for my WASR-22. When stock there 15 Rd , extended 20 Rd. When I modded them I cut the followers down inside. Brought the cap. up to 20 Rd and 25 extended.
  14. For thumbholes Choate and AT like said Globaltrades had a fiber polymer stock, Nailbomb and I have used these on Saigas, AK's and PSL's ( do a pic search here) I've also fitted a Bulgarian SLR-95 stock to fit stamped receivers Wood stocks got deep in the dark days also, Hungarian, Chinese, Egyptian, Romanian. Thats if you want wood, your handy at carving.
  15. If it really bugs you, you can make the right side dust cover only and add a Polish left side selector.
  16. I can tell you, 12 dimes will fit nice. Short range ammo, but devastating results, almost scary.
  17. The less stress on the barrel, the better. Think about a free float barreled rifle. Can't do anything about the gas system or handguard, but why add a bipod on the handguard or barrel, that's gonna fix the position. The most logical placement is attached to the receiver.
  18. I'm almost certain it's a UTG. I went with it for the rail mount and height, so it would lay down along the trigger guard. To get it to fold back I had to take it apart and reverse the feet.
  19. Russian slabside. First production design mag. Thicker walled, heavier construction. They aren't rare but do seem to command a higher price tag. It's appropriate for a T-55.
  20. New day another pic. Hungarians AMD-65 Built on a flat SA-85M never seen a round yet Type III battlefield pick up built on a firingline
