  1. Tony, if you do decide to do a run of .444 barrels for the .410 Saiga, as hinted in the video, I will be happy to prepay. I can to handle the requisite barrel and extractor work you mention there. I've only checked your website and this forum a couple times in the past decade -- always on the whim that perhaps you might revisit this conversion concept. So it's a very pleasant surprise to see this recent post/video from you on one of my rare appearances. You might be either flattered or mildly amused to know that my stupidity in not taking you up on the chance to fund this .444 conver
  2. I've been geosteering the Bakken and Three Forks for 2 yrs, now. Nothing like shooting coyotes over the fence behind the company man's shack to test how secure your position is with your employer. No flack so far, but Conoco even brought dogs on site near Keene to sniff shacks and vehicles for drug/alcohol/gunpowder residue, so know your priorities and those of who you work for before bringing anything on location. I'm out of state at the moment, but expect to be back in a week or so. Drop me a PM and we'll see if we can get our schedules to mesh. I've got to commit to wells 24/7 from surf
  3. I'll take them. I have a polychoke I'd trade, but it is not in the best condition. PM me name/address and I'll get a postal money order off to you. Thanks.
  4. I'm not the OP, so I can't speculate on the spirit that his piece of wit was shared in, but if I were in Mike's shoes I think I would be able to read that without any feeling of having been criticized, Bob. I read it as the OP laughing at himself and the rest of us here -- frustrated wannabe consumers whose fanatical anticipation of the next MD goodies sometimes begins to resemble junkie cravings, even before we've ever even had a hit. Can't a guy poke fun at his own helpless state without igniting a shitstorm? The title of the thread starts with the word, "Playful..." That strongly suggests a
  5. How will you be getting around in Moscow? Public transport and on foot, or by car? With someone who can read Russian or not? I assume street addresses in Russian will do you no good, right? Maps transliterated into English won't be much help, because public signage is in Cyrilic and therefore unrecognizable once you look up from the map. There are only two, maybe three stores I can steer you to by memory if you don't read Russian and/or don't have a local guide. Only one would be easy to find via public transport without getting lost; I think it would be easy even for someone who doesn't
  6. Put a high enough $ on here and you'll get plenty of folks willing to sell you one. Without stating how much you're willing to pay, I don't expect you'll get many responses. But best of luck with the search.
  7. So because your deal fell through you are monitoring when this guy is coming online? Thats kinda creepy bro. Sounds to me like ChevyMan is just trying to be responsible before he posted this warning to the rest of us, bro. I'd do the same thing -- check to make sure the guy has logged on to avoid criticizing someone who possibly was guilty of nothing more than maybe temporarily losing Internet access for whatever reason. Guess I'm a creep, too.
  8. I'm assuming you meant to type "AR" half the times when you typed "AK". If so, the Mako Security webpage for AK stocks might have your answer.
  9. People (like Mike) who develop ideas for the market have no end of good reasons why they don't release much information about their innovations to the public until they are good and ready to do so. And any entrepreneur with an ounce of savvy is able to decide when the time for that is right without being prompted. To satisfy curiosity can sometimes be suicidal from a business standpoint. People (like Tony) who are qualified to offer invaluable feedback during the development and testing stages are valued not only for their expertise but also for their ability to keep confidentiality. 10. A basic patent will generally run you from $5K to $20K, depending on the complexity of what you're patenting. A provisional patent is a cheaper, short-term, partial solution, but will generally give you just enough time to tinker around and get some consulting/testing/feedback on the design before it expires, leaving you with no legal protection from the folks who have seen your design(s) and perhaps decided to copy your idea(s). That's why so many folks sell their idea to a developer: going from concept or prototype to marketable goods can be a very involved process. Also, I would recommend g
  11. FWIW, I've failed to receive rebates from purchases on goods other than ammunition, but my experiences with various ammo manufacturers (Federal, HeviShot, Remington, Winchester) have all been positive, even in one instance where I was worried because I mailed my receipts in on the last day of their offer. I noticed after mailing that I had sent them out on the "must be received by" date (thinking it was a "postmark by" date), so I was cursing myself for making last-minute purchases without reading the offer more carefully. Both companies came through with the rebates, though, no questions aske
