  1. I love thse plates! I like using them on all my "Century-Series" AKs. Tantal sells the "real deal" but I don't know for how much. Also, if you have some 16 gauge steel you can make your own for practically nothing: http://pookieweb.dyndns.org:61129/AK/docs/templates.htm HTH, - Jerry
  2. HRM you guys don't follow links do you? OK here you go:
  3. I have my S12 now. I am building it into an AK-100 style "Russian" side folder. Just like I have done to my AK-103, AK-100, and AKSU builds. I can not find the retainer latch. This AKFORUM thread describes the need for a "tailor-made" latch that is different from any other AK-100 style latch: http://www.akforum.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4575 I have all the parts EXCEPT this latch. I have looked high and low here and can not find any source or supplier of the latch mechanism. Can someone point me in the right direction? I am probably going to build one at this point,
  4. The information I've collected on Blind Pinning is here, originally found on the FALFILES: http://pookieweb.dyndns.org:61129/AK/docs/...l/blind_pin.htm HTH
  5. When I emailed him a few months ago about these, he said they are the same mags and to use the chute they remove the lugs from existing mags. Apparently, the rear lug locks it, the front is "stuck" in the chute in such a way that it will never move. He explained it in such a way to imply that you could dremel any mag to fit into the new magwell. If you look at some of the Russian image websites you can see these on the newer images. FWIW
  6. Very nice indeed! I wondered if anything would fit within one of those frames. Question for you... you said: "I hunt with a very ugly Bull pup M44 carbine that is much stronger. I poured this polymer myself and it is based on a prototype I made years ago out of wood." What polymer did you use? - Jerry
  7. When I've ordered from him it has arrived via standard USPS methods. - Jerry
  8. I have purchased from Oleg before and would not hesitate to recommend his company to anyone. Very nice guy, very nice company! I'd love to pic up one of those sidecar motorcycles... they are too cool - Jerry
