Yeah definitely rent it first as you might not like it as you didn't care for BFBC2 at all. It does remind me of that game but like I said I like the online play much better on Homefront. Dan I don't know what happened to the post I put up last night after getting some time in the game but it's not here so I'll repost again. I only had 1 red bar showing most of the time sometimes 2 yellow bars but did not notice any lag at all if I saw someone first they were dead in just a few rounds. Most guys were showing the same bars but a few had full green bars but it didn't seem to give them any advantage at all. Well I got it and it's pretty cool actually the maps are quite spacious and designed with a good mix of ground fighting opportunities and sniping spots. The vehicles are pretty cool also you can deploy the drone planes and small helicopters with small missiles but they are hard to use and pretty easy to destroy so you can't rule the battlefield with them. It's nice to hit someone with just about 3-4 bullets and drop them though if burst firing at long distances the M4 works really well. I'm going to try to get the 15th prestige on Bops then probably spend most of my time on Homefront.

Will be picking up Homefront tomorrow for my birthday. So I'll report how it is with dedicated servers I'm expecting big things from it.

I like Kowloon it provides alot of high long distance shots. I use the M16 suppressed with RDS and Ghost pro, hardened pro, Marathon pro and I don't camp but find an advantageous spot kill a guy or two and then move on to another spot. I have several high kill low death games on that map. I'm getting alot better with the M16 and for the most part can use it with good results unless I come up against a group of noob tubing, AK74u users, that all run together. Well it figures if anyone was going to have a problem it would be me. I purchased the download started installing it 10% done then WHAM PS3 FREEZE what a bunch of crap!!!! It is now trying to download again hopefully it works this time. I also pre-ordered Homefront it comes out on my birthday. Looks to be fairly well done with dedicated servers IGN is giving it some very good reviews. Hopefully catch some of you on tonight.

Any of you guys buy the new map pack yet? I am hearing there are alot of problems with them right now as in people complaining they can't use the chopper gunner on Kowloon as the PS3 freezes everytime they try it. Also guys have been getting reset to lvl 1 after the download. One guy said he was 11th prestige lvl 34 and after the download was reset all the way back to lvl 1. I might wait for a few days to see if they get it fixed. Also guys complaining they purchased the new map pack but it won't download or if it does download they can't access it and there isn't any HC yet for the new maps.

Yeah JJ gophermods.com is where I got mine repaired for just around $70.00 bucks. They're in Minnesota but it's pretty quick turnaround. They fix it the same day they get it and ship it back the next day. If it ever fails again they fix it free you just have to pay for the shipping again. Mine also was the red flashing light. Yeah back up and running but not apparently gunning as I can't seem to buy a kill almost every game last night was a shamble. I did manage to prestige again but man I was getting destroyed game after game avg. KDR was like .81 for last night. Some games would be positive others weren't even close to being positive. I may change my IP address back to dynamic and see if that helps. Well we lost our phones and high speed internet during the storm a few big branchs got too weighed down with the ice and broke off hitting our house doing some damage to the roof and taking our cable lines out also. We are now back up running and I just did the port forward .com port configuring supposedly to speed things up for BO's but from my before and after speedtest.net comparisons it didn't do a thing for me. My before was 14.11 mb/s down, 2.46 mb/s up with a 120ms ping. My after was 12.75mb/s down, 2.53 mb/s up, with 120 ms ping. I guess I'll have to see what the game acts like but I

Host migrations seem to happen abit more I think but it works much better usually finds a new host instead of just dropping the game. Dropped games still happen but not nearly as much. Still get the connection interruptions also and somedays it's quite bad then others no problem at all. A little off subject Dan but did you get the job you were hoping to get? Maybe you could try lightening up the screen in the game setup to maybe help see the dark corners better. I used to have a real problem with those maps also but I just learned all the hiding spots and run ghost myself on those maps so it's not so easy for someone to camp kill me. Also why I like the M16 with ACOG and suppressor for cracked as you can scope in on the dark corners and such and most of the time win the shootout. It doesn't work so well on Hanoi though as that is mostly CQB and any of the FA weapons are much better for that with suppressor. Well yesterday was a so so day for me it

Good games tonight bigcec1. I think we both had several games with KDR's well over 2.50. Seems to have been running much smoother tonight hope it stays that way. I'm thinking of just staying with the Enfield this time it seems to be working fairly well. How'd you like the AK74U with rapid fire and no grip? Did you run Scavenger, SOH, with it like I suggested ? I had a few games tonight with KDR over 4.50 which I thought was pretty decent for a change.

Well so much for the double XP weekend there was so many people online I got just a few complete games in today. The games I did get to complete were usually lagging like crazy though some of the time it benefitted me. Had multiple disconnects if you could get into a match that is.

Here is my last test. I figured out the closer server on my own I think. The funny thing is the test I did just seconds before this on had a DL of 16.87 and the UL was 1.33 with a ping of 91ms.

My ping varies greatly for some reason sometimes I am around 70-80 ms but I have seen it go as high as 242 ms in a recent test. I used to be around 20-40 ms consistently but that was before the laptop, the WII,the IPOd,the Nintendo DSI, and adding a second PS3 and my kids phones. I think a call to the ISP is called for to optimize my gaming as since the last update things seem to have really gotten bad for me I can't hardly get a positive KDR anymore. How do you guys set it up to test a server closer to home my default one is in Missouri and it's 657 miles away.

Well I for one liked the show quite a bit I was impressed that the one young kid I think his name was Chris kept saying "yes sir" to Will. That kind of respect is something that is usually lost in the younger generations. I know Will is his boss but he didn't say "yes boss" he said "yes sir". The PC is wired to the modem, but my wifes laptop is wireless as is my daughters Nintendo DSI, and her IPOD, and the PS3. Maybe I should call my ISP and ask why my ping is now so much longer than it was before. I also think someone maybe trying to access my router here in the neighborhood as my PC keeps detecting a new Xbox and asks if I want to grant access. I of course hit No.
