who uses quadrails with their Saiga 7.62 X 39?
Xpur3L0g1cX replied to ROD5591's topic in Saiga 7.62 X 39
The only interference I've had was due to the heat, but rail protectors and the afg2 helped. I have the css quad rail and it adds a bit of weight toward the front end. Not sure about the chaos -
Source for crush washer for marrel attachment?
Xpur3L0g1cX replied to cvasqu03's topic in Saiga 7.62 X 39
I used a 14mm crush washer off of a spark plug -
My advice. Get rid if the tapco folder and put something on there that has a sling attachment.

Make sure if you go brinell use a equitip as a regular tellebrinell you have to make a dimple in the parent metal.

I just trashed mine. If kalashnikov wanted to put on in the design, he would have.

Hey thats an awesome build, love the rails with the mbuis. I was thinking about getting the tws railcover myself. The way i see it if you can advance your weapons platform for suit your needs then do it. i personally love the rails and such just not completely in love with the AR action yet or just not convinced anyway.

Thanks, its the magpul moe stock with milspec buffer tube. It folds to the left with the ace push button folder. I wanted something adjustable for length of pull and be able to fold out of the way. I know i know its an ar part on an ak and some guys are purists in that respect but i like it. As far as the sling it attaches at the folding hinge on a swivel stud. Thanks again for looking. Its quite comfortable now on to finding a rds to put on her.

If it already has a factory threaded barrel, id check to see if it has a bullet guide installed. if so i believe they essentially did the 922r for you. But if not i would leave it stock or do the full conversion. That way can be sure.

Id just say gun?what gun? Wait it out see what happens. Moving is never just that easy. If your a criminal for owning an illegal gun based on appearance id say the hell with them.

Thats basically it. I cut the shroud back 5/8ths and threaded it back with the 14/1 die and then cleaned it up. I threw the crush washer on and it held the flash hider on really well. It isnt going anywhere. You just want to make sure you tighten it down to crush the washer correctly if that makes sense. Once you think its tight, try and tighten it some more. Then stop when you think it wont go anymore or line up right. You dont want to be able to screw it off with your hand.

Internal Adapter Question for first conversion
Xpur3L0g1cX replied to scottmnj's topic in Saiga Rifle Conversions
I don't know about that brand of internal adapter but if its anything like the ace adapter you'll need a pignose that attaches to it. That way you can screw on your buffer tube like normal.
