The letter i got from EAA said they were no longer doing business with Saiga and that it was a business decision. One way or the other we are hosed on hi cap mags.

Nothing special here..... yet. I'm just not sure I want to *uc* with it, though. Shot great out of the box. The front sight was way to the right, but the gun was dead nuts at 100 yards out of the box! I had a heck of a time getting the bolt back in right. The manual is not the greatest. I didn't realize at first you had to push down against the hammer (and spring) to get the bolt and carrrier back in. Pretty easy break down though all in all.

Yeah......... I like the "OR SO" part. I ordered 2 G-3 mags just to play with.

Man that looks killer. Will the ace work on the .308????
-
Looks nice man. I may even try that. I even found synthetic stock sets for the .308 if I mess it up!

The Saiga .308 will be a new weapon in my arsenal tomorrow. I have not seen the inside of it so I am uncertain as to what the guts look like. But from the pics and posts you guys have published it seems to me that a one piece stock & pistol grip (as many of you have made) would be the way to go. Is it not possible to just bolt (or screw) on a one piece unit and not mess with moving the trigger group?? I realize they may not be available in mass yet, but if it's possible to do so it's only a matter of time. Would I not be better off to wait for an after-market product than drilling and

Always with the negative waves battlerifle...... always with the negative waves!

And hey, is there not a simple aftermarket syntheic stock/pistol grip to replace the stock? I see several in multiple p[ieces, but there is no place to put the pistol grip with the trigger group being so far back..... I think.....

But a bipod mounted to the barrel? Tisk tisk tisk. Looks cool though.... KY you got the right idea! On the sling lug. No loss of accuracy from bipod mode to off hand. Does your bipod have the attachment so you can still hook up your sling?
-
How are you getting a pistol grip to fit with the trigger group on the .308 being so far back? Any pics??

They added them to their catalog on October 11th. I ordered a 2 pack for $70 today... but another forum post said they are all on backorder.

Thanks for posting this. I am picking up my Saiga .308 Tuesday and was worried about getting hi cap mags. i have looked all over. In fact I was at the EAA site just a week ago and they were not there. I orderd 2 20 rounders. You get 2 for $70. A litttle pricey to say the least. But thanks just the same.
