  1. That color reminds me of a color in the old Rhodesian camo. I'll have to dig out my Rhodie boonie and see if it's close. Well, If you don't hear from me anymore; send in a S&R team to find me in the basement. Some go in, and don't come out.
  2. I did a quick search and didn't find any obvious answers so here goes... Dumb Question # 1. Why did AGP stop making their clear Saiga 12 mags? Dumb Question # 1-a. Is there a greater or lesser value to unused (i.e. new/never inserted into shotgun) AGP clear Saiga 12 mags? See, I told you I had a dumb question. It probably doesn't even matter. But I had to ask. OK, I'll go away now.
  3. Shipping to NC also denied like other states! Nearly fainted and started digging through my NC firearms law book. BTW, like others I'm drooling over the double stacks to come out. Keep up the good work gang. As a Hippy friend says when we part company, "Love ya Man!"
  4. Nice job Boba Debt! Whoever says American Ingenuity is dead hasn't looked into the Saiga forum. Of all the firearms forums I've read over the years the innovation of the Saiga shotgun owners is right at the top. And the fact that it is individual owners who mod the firearm to their needs and not some 'board of directors' at some huge company is the kind of ingenuity that drives the American spirit. I can't wait to see the final product. And I'll bet the Russians are learning a lot from this board also.
  5. I have an idea! I know that's dangerous coming from me. How about a..(cue drumroll) ..BELTFED! I know someone has thought about it...fess up! OK, I'll go back to my bunker.
  6. While you are in Russia, try a drink called Kvas. There are two kinds, one is a soft drink the other is a drink made from rye bread. The latter isn't alcoholic but isn't a soft drink type of drink. And if by chance you find someone who has the recipe for the one made from rye bread, get a copy and post it. I think you'll find it interesting.
  7. Holy crap! There goes my bank account! When you get running at 100% I'm gonna have to start hitting the Swiss account. Wait! Did I say that out loud? A true 'Rags to Armed and Rich' story. The Classic American story!
  8. Mike and crew. I just wanted you guys to know how impressed I am of your quality control. I received my drum awhile back during the 2nd Run and haven't had a chance to get to the range. With a snow storm that knocked out power for a few days and the rains that followed which flooded the range; the timing for running the drum wasn't the best. But I have had a good opportunity to give it a good look over instead of running out to the range like a kid and blasting away. All I can say is thanks for being quality control purists. I don't know how many times I've loaded and unloaded this thing
  9. I had a friend of mine, who was just back from a tour in The Nam, bail out of my car when it backfired! Fortunately I was only going about 5mph when I backed off the gas peddle and it backfired. He was with SOG and his training was well drilled in and he was back in The World for only a couple weeks.
  10. You are a bad man! A very bad man! Now I'll have to go and buy a Saiga 20 just to see how your 20 ga. drum compares to the Saiga 12 ga drum. You are sooooooooooo E-V-I-L; forcing me to buy more weapons, drums and ammo. I guess I'll have to do my part for the economy and buy more toys....er....economic stimulus products. Yea, that's it. That is how I'll sell it to my wife. I just had to buy another Saiga and drums from MD Arms to be patriotic and support the USA's manufacturing base. A 25 round 20 ga. drum...it's going to be so B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L BTW, if the story on "
  11. This past Monday I went to the range and ran Winchester Universal with no problem. I've used AGP mags and the factory 5 rnd mag and no feed problems. Before I went I had the gun cleaned. I am recording how many rounds it'll cycle through it over time to see just how it feeds as carbon collects. The gas system has the 3 port design and factory 'hockey puck'. From the first day it ran Universal with no issues. Naturally it ran the 2 3/4 inch 00 buck and the 3" bird shot. It can be a lot of little things. If your gun is brand new, and never fired you may need to give it some break in time
  12. Some prices are also affected by the area of the country you are in. Around here the stock S12 is going for 500 and up. I remember seeing them for nearly half of that. It isn't just some price gouging dealers, but also the market forces of supply and demand. The 20ga saigas are a bit cheaper because the S12's popularity. Also you have to factor in the cost of manufacturing and materials costs are up globally and the US dollar is devalued from a couple years ago. I don't see the prices falling much, if any because of outside market forces. The panic buying is going to go unabated for awh
