  1. So how much more of a premium is that extra "Y" receiver worth? Regard
  2. OP - what mods do you need to do to install the gad tube? Also, what mag carrier a re you using in your pics? Regards
  3. What size hose clamp are you going to use?
  4. My stock Saiga x39 is about as accurate. Great guns for the price (paid $299) from a great lineage. Regards
  5. Awesome looking rifle! What does AK-USA charge to do this type of conversion? Regards
  6. Looks great. I may need to do this to my CA Saiga. Regards
  7. They all have "X and Y stamps", man. Does yours have a second Y stamp? That's the one that (potentially) matters. What's the issue with the 2nd Y stamp?
  8. Looking for a couple of Saiga factory 10rd mags. Let me know if you have any you want to get rid of. regards
  9. I've heard that the Cali-legal Arsenal's ship with a voucher for removal of the bullet button if the laws ever change in Cali. Is this true? Yes its true. An Arsenal Rep that is on CalGuns forum has confirmed this. regards
  10. I'm new to the SAIGA in .223. At the risk of sounding stupid, is the post above valid? Can AR mags be used with a .223 Saiga or was the poster being sarcastic? Regards
  11. I hear ya. I overlooked the AK platform over the last 30 yrs. The AK was a cheaply built peasant rifle and I had no interest or respect for it. Was I wrong! I've always been an AR guy and just discovered the beauty of the AK. I also passed over Saigas at the gunshows when they were cheap and purchased my first one last spring before the election. Purchased a dimpled Saiga a couple of months later. Now I wished I had purchased more ammo.
  12. I actually purchased two Lancasters, a Russian Red version and the black furniture version back about a year ago. Both rifles were cosmetically excellent. I never shot the Russian Red version (too pretty) and sold it to fund the SGL-10. I still have the black Lancaster and so far its been a good shooter. Have about 300 rounds through it without any malfunctions. Finish is excellent and the only issue I've had with the rifle is that its sometimes tricky to get the cleaning rod back in. I have to play with it to reset it back in its proper place. That said, my SGL-20 (black furniture) is
  13. I too am caught up the AK addiction. Started with a Russian Tula SKS, Norinco Para SKS, to a Lancaster AK (Romanian G kit on a NODAK receiver), to a couple of Saigas and now the SGL-10 and SGL-20. Aquired all this in a little more than one year. I have to agree with post-apocalytpic, the Russians (Saigas) are great rifles.
