I use a CAA shotgun light mount on the barrel about 9 inches or so behind the muzzle this gives me a co witness with the iron sites and I can fire with both eyes shooting.

I've got the 3 gun bug again
topmaul replied to topmaul's topic in The Competitor's Corner / TEAM SAIGA
I'm going to be shooting a Pistol Caliber Carbine match tomorrow. Should be fun. -
I contacted Leupold and they said the Delta Point will handle the where I placed it, and if it did not they would want to talk to me about it. Tomorrow there is a Shotgun/PPC match here in Phoenix I'll most likely use my CX4 but might take my Saiga out for a test run. Cheers John

Like I said mine did the same thing and the gas system was just fine. The problem was the parts just were not compatible. Send them to Cobra he's a great guy I sent mine to Pauly because I lived in Seattle and he was in Portland Oregon. Pauly did great work for me but that was a while back.

I have just moved to Phoenix Arizona. So if anyone is in this area contact me.

had the same problem I suggest you send your internal parts to Pauly and I bet your weapon will work once you get your parts back.

R&R Saigas dominated our annual three gun match

Nice video and great shooting! -
I have a FF mounted on the barrel about a foot back from the muzzle so I can co-witness with the original sites if necessary. I guess my question is can a FF stand that abuse? Should I put my Delta Point up there instead? My logic is if it fails I can go to irons although I'd rather not have it fail. Thanks John Edit, I just moved my Deltapoint to my Saiga and my Fast Fire to my CX4 Storm Carbine.

On a business trip to Alaska I bought a Saiga 12 from a friend of mine, when I got back to Seattle I took it to the range and it would fire but not eject the spent shell. To make a long story short I sent the internals to Pauly in Portland Oregan and he polished them, today it's my most reliable fire arm.

my magazines are not working in the weapon. I think I'm going to officially give up on the mag well. My feed angle is too low. -

Using a drum in competition
topmaul replied to topmaul's topic in The Competitor's Corner / TEAM SAIGA
Can you get it out of the bag and properly inserted quickly? -
Let's say you have a stage were you where it is necessary to carry your drum to your shotgun, How do you carry it? In the past I have unbuttoned my shirt and place it inside this was the only thing I could think of.

I am using a Burris Fast Fire it's mounted on the barrel so I can still use the original sights if necessary. Using a Shotgun barrel light mount it believe it's CAA.

I'm partial to Rock and Lock, It's some how more my style. I think people try to ARize their AK and that's just not for me. Of course we are all free to do as each of us want. I do had a JT Magazine Well on one of my S-12s, I prefer the rock and lock shotgun.

It's been a while, went through a divorce, completed an MBA, and retired from the military. Now I'm living in Phoenix, Arizona and really want to get back into competition. I picked up a nice pistol, .40 cal EAA Witness Limited, My Saiga with magazine well also have a Rock and Lock version And a nice AR that I built. Anyway I'm ready to get back into shooting and hopefully doing better. I'll tell you guys what, today I worked on my Saiga today, I took the tacti-cool quad rail off and put the original hand guard back on and the weapon just felt good in my hands. So I pla

I have to say I have gotten some pretty cool stuff from Oleg in the past. Yes it takes time but it's always worth the wait.

I recently kind of gave up on the optic up front because the blast destroyed the red dot I had there. So I backed off to a more tradutional mount set up. I think it could still work but I don't want to risk my delta point way up there.

Cobra Is this a problem with AGP mags? I have about twenty AGPs and never had this happen.
