Tell me about your Pistol
topmaul replied to topmaul's topic in The Competitor's Corner / TEAM SAIGA
I just got an EAA Witness Match Elite with a Henning trigger, mag well, sites, and a bunch of other upgrades. It's a limited gun -
Funny these tubefeeders jump on every technical advancment (gadget) to make a tube feeder more competitive with the Saiga but they still don't have a fire arm as effective as as good Saiga.

I have a PK01 on my home defense weapon that is how much I trust it. I also have a delta point with auto brightness control and found that a strobe will really screw with it but the PK01 works fine with the flashing strobe I have on my Beretta CX4 Storm Carbine. I would recomend the PK01 you don't need an manual over ride just turn it on and your all set. I had it on a bulleye pistol at one time when I was briefly into that. We were outside on a over cast day. When you start shooting you have so many seconds to get off all your rounds. Well the sun came out and all the rest of the shoo

The LRBHO is not the most useful thing becasue you should never let your gun go dry. So Get a magwell. -

I wish they would have the rounds up, for competition that is the way I perfer mine. -
maybe we should start a thread dedicated to Wolf Ammo and getting Disqualified
-
-
Truthfully it's my belief that Wolf ammo is fine and does not really damage the steel reactive targets. But there are 5.56 AP ammo on the market and well it will punch nice holes in some targets. So match directors insist on using a magnet to check for steel in the ammo if a magnet sticks to the ammo it's AP as far as the MDs are concerned and you are Disqualified and sent home. What I used to do at Black Creek was use Wolf on paper and have mags set aside for steel and reactive targets where I would use Winchester 7.62x39. Which was not a problem.

I would never in a million years spend one more dime with Kalinka they screwed me on a PK-01 first I ordered the one with the auto dot adjustment, They sent the manual one it looked like it worked okay until I got it outside and the dot would not get bright enough to be used out side Kalinka said that was the way they were made, Also the one I got looked like it had been mounted to rings before. These people suck they sell you defective equipment then argue about it.

how does that stock work for a left handed shooter?
-
Ron what are you running for a rifle these days?
-
You could go with a Vepr also. I agree the 5.45 is often disallowed because of the magnetic properties of eastern block ammo. If a supply of non-magnetic ammo could be found that would be great.
-
Usually 5,56 is minimum 5.45 is a little bit less so it could be an issue if some one wanted to be a dick about it. I really think 5.45 should be the minimum caliber allowed. It's a pretty good round.
