  1. So it looks like my options are limited I'll have to real choice but to go with the pistol grip and some kind of new stock right It's not that I have anything agianst pistol grips but I just wanted to leave the stock. My discressionary funds are some what limited. So I'll just have to save up and really trick out my Saiga. I have no intention of cutting off my barrel. I like it the way it is. Thanks for all your advice.
  2. Thanks, if your correct than a front sight, a rear sight, and a buffer pad and I'm all set ? I really don't want a pistol grip or a folding stock.
  3. How many us parts do I need to put into my saiga before I can use an eight round mag without going to jail?
  4. There will be a tactical match on 13 Nov. at the Norfolk County Rifle Rang http://ncrr.net/ I hope to see plenty of Saigas there. They put on a good time. If your going to attend visit the website and read the special rules due to the club location only 7 1/2 low brass or smaller is to be used I would bring atleast 100 rds. Click on IDPA then tactical shotgun for details
  5. I know the law is the law but does this law strike any one as STUPID?
  6. It's only 4 inches who cares leave it alone if you want it shorter get one of those cool AR-15 stocks for it. The hitting power is much greater with the full pipe
  7. I do tactical with the 22 inch and I like it, do what you want but I would have a gunsmith do cut the barrel so that the crowning is correct. If you have a gunsmith do it it will be done right and the cost would be about the same. Get 19 and live with the extra inch besides once you saw it off there goes any re-sale value.
  8. I guess I'm turning into a tree hugger or something I think EAA should have some sent to a Zoo it's the least they could do. They're making money on the poor ugly animals name. So why not prevent its extinction
  9. Check out this link, Full Auto Saiga http://www.colesgunworks.com/ check it out for Military and Law Enforcement ONLY
  10. I posted this to the Saiga 12 forum but I want every one to see it so here it is http://www.colesgunworks.com/ Remember Military and Law Enforcement ONLY
  11. Mick, I had a thought what I'm going to do next time is make my second to last shot a different collor (brand) say I'm shooting those red walmart shells then a yellow one pops out that tells me that it's time to switch mags. I'm still going to count shots I want to load from the closed bold position I find that a thin film of grease on the bottom of the bolt makes incerting the mag much easter.
  12. To say that I was unhappy with my showing at the NCRR is not exactly true, It was my first time out. I see lots of areas to improve, about all I used my Saiga for up till now was turkey shoots which I won my share. I plan to check the pattern at various distances on Thursday. I need to know my pattern which I really don't at the moment. Of course I need to aquire and fire faster. Thinking is a big part and I really did not do much of that. My bolt lock comes in handy and it's easy to use (cut out on the safety latch which holds the bolt back) once I got the hang of it. I just have tons of mone
  13. Two weeks ago my son Full Choke, and I pertisipated in a tactical match our scores were less than steller, a Saiga shooter did come in second place. I hope to be more competitive next time. So if any one has some tips I'm all ears.
  14. I got a price quote of 95.00 plus shipping seems a little steep. I dragged my gunsmith to his computer today and showed him this forum. I need one of those sightes one way or another
  15. Tell you the truth I'm not sure what practical use it would be but the inventer is marketing it as a Tactical entry tool (weapon). My self I'm a one shot one kill guy, Marine Corps training. That being said it's still fun to shoot. I thought you guy would enjoy it.
  16. Just get a 1/4 inch piece of rubber and make your own that's what I did.
  17. I have a bolt catch on my saiga but it's not automatic but with practice it works quite well, I simply cut a bit of my safety latch so that when I pull the bolt back I can hold the bolt with the safety lever. All I used was a dremal tool
  18. I'm having trouble with the video feed is anyone else the good thing is that I already have seen it. If you have any questions please call Cole's Gun Works and ask for Tom
  19. If you want to see a fully automatic Saiga in action check out the link I have fired it and it's fun http://"colesgunworks.com"/ Remember if your not military or law enforcement your out of luck.
