  1. Just got done converting mine...still not done: I need to cut of the shroud and install a '74 style brake.
  2. Well, the Panhandle is quite a ways from the Border....and if things ever got so bad we were fighting, I'm not sure we'd have to worry about Mexico. But if they wanted to try their luck again, they're welcome to. Big fallacy of the Texas Revolution was that it was the white settlers versus the Mexicans. Many many "Texicans" such as Juan Sequin sided with their fellow Texans against Santa Anna and his thugs. Though some illegals might be pro Mexico, I'd have to believe any hispanic with half a brain would rather fight for and protect Texas and their current way of life, rather the
  3. The Republic of Texas of course. Though you might be better off in say, the Panhandle or East Texas as opposed to around Houston or El Paso....
  4. to me thats the thing. Not trying to bash the military in any way, but the reason we use cops and not the military for domestic security is because putting people in charge of law enforcement that have sworn an oath to a national government and may not be from the area they're in charge of is a dang good way to cause trouble.
  5. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...3002217_pf.html Does this not bother anyone else at least in the slightest? Seems to me the founders were highly against government troops providing domestic security....just thought someone should bring this up.
  6. "Texas can survive without the Union, but the Union cannot survive without the Great State of TEXAS!" Sam Houston Succession is unlikely, but here is what I support: Amnesty states. If cities can say they're amnesty points for illegal immigrants, Texas needs to declare itself an Amnesty state for gun owners, and simply not prosecute or enforce any federal bans on anything.
  7. I just ordered the stock lonerider recommended. I'm in the same boat as you as wanted to go back to the original stock if needed.
  8. ahahahahaha. Deep breath.... Not to sound pessimistic here, but the DC Heller case was a split 5-4 vote. All it would take is 1 justice to retire under Obama. What sort of judge do you think he'll appoint? Then we're stuck with at LEAST a 5-4 court against us for at least 20-30 years.....
  9. Not trying to add to the general hysteria going on in here, buuuttt..... Obama to use Executive Orders to full impact Just food for thought.
  10. Thank God I live in the great state of TEXAS! I hope others follow their lead. They seem to be doing it in a sensible manner as well. Requiring they have a CC permit, undergo training, ect.
  11. Thanks for the kind words guys! If you're into car stuff or just curious about my buildup, I have a thread going on a car site about it. Link: http://www.texasstreetcars.com/viewtopic.php?t=139 Those are the types of sunsets you get up in the Texas Panhandle...gotta love em! Oh, and I'm definately keeping the wheels. I'll probably be exchanging the rears for some a little wider though....It's gonna need all the help it can get when I'm done with it!
  12. As long as we're sharing pictures of toys, here's my other baby besides my gun.... 1974 Chevy Nova. As she was: and as she is right now....
  13. The sound of a shotgun being racked is a fairly "poo poo" inducing noise as well....I think most criminals would simply flee upon hearing that sound.
  14. That is completely insane.... Its amazing the abuses people allow government to get away with. Heck, San Francisco is a "sanctuary city" for illegals.... we need somewhere to declare themselves a "sanctuary city" for gun owners...we may need it soon.
  15. I agree. I keep my Saiga in the home, but if there was ever a problem, I would be running for the shotgun. I have little kids in my nighborhood....couldn't stand to think of a stray round hitting one of them.....
