  1. I recently got the CSS SAIGA 12 BOLT ON TACTICAL SIGHT SET and trying to remove the OEM rear blade is turning in to a real problem. Anyone got any tips? Is the replacement going to be just as difficult to install?
  2. I'm still ROFLMAO! Takes tacky-kewl to a whole new level. DuraCoat has that stencil set.
  3. I'm thinking that heating hot enough to melt lead would change the temper of the parts and that would probably not be a good thing. Would you do the same thing to a rifle barrel to get the lead out of it?
  4. Sometimes this place and a few of the posters really crack me up. Let's see, we'll spend $600+ on a shotgun, $100 on each drum mag, $200-$300 on someone converting it, $400 on cool accessories and then bitch all day because we refuse to spend an extra $0.15 per round on ammo? Can't wait to see what some of you shoot in your tactical .308's....probably that mid-60's ammo from India. As for Wal-Mart, I only go there when I'm in a masochistic mood.
  5. Check out 'Cheaper Than Dirt.' They have them and won't ship them where they are illegal. Functioning???
  6. Good luck in finding tire weights. The days of cheap, readily available ones have gone and most of the 'eco-friendly' replacements are not lead. Molding slugs and large balls are viable but I doubt that you'd want to invest in a shot tower to make smaller sizes.
  7. Hmmm.. How many moa rifles of any make and type use chrome lined barrels? The very process of chroming the chamber and bore produces irregularities that high quality barrels never have.
  8. 1000 yards . That target set up was a bitch , all you could see was an inch of head sticking up over the top of the car . First rounds was to clear a path [bullet defected to the right shoulder . Second round was on target in the Adam's apple [just a little showing off . We were actually out there shooting from about 9 am till damn near dark . First of all, thanks for taking the time to respond to all of us! BTW I've been on enough forums to know that most of the 'gunchers' are not doers. I saw the show twice and was wondering a couple of things. I could have just watched the
  9. I was thinking more along the lines of professional backgrounds, self-taught or did they go to a school, what type of firearms do they like themselves, how they would up working there. Glad you're avoiding the family drama stuff that some of the other shows have way too much of. BTW Some Marine should ask Steph to the Marine Corp Ball!
  10. The only gun deals I've ever really regretted were the ones I sold and the ones I passed on....sigh!
  11. We need to get you guy's down here sometime . Give me a call , see what we can do . Will I cannot believe that you are going to make an accurate 1000yd AK! This I have got to see to believe. I too, am waiting for this episode, so that I can see what caliber they decide to use...I'm betting .308... .308 and Kreiger definitely make sense, since a 7.62x39 would totally suck at that range. Hmmm, he wondered out of ignorance, don't all Saiga variants have a pressed in barrel? IMO that would make long-range accuracy very difficult to achieve. BTW I'd love to see more p
  12. If you're going to go with Duracoat or one of the bake-on finishes this is highly recommended.
  13. I've been fighting with NICS for over 10 years! It was for an arrest that was thrown out at the prelim and I even won $$$ on a wrongful arrest lawsuit. They refuse to erase it even though they can find no records of it and I've sent letters from everyone involved! Fortunately it just gets me a delay. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
  14. Century Arms International..you'll need a local FFL to bring it in for you. Mine cam from them and it is NOT a vodka special.
  15. I notched mine too as shown in one of the CSS videos...did it a bit deeper and put a bend in the spring. Mine's a new gun with less than 200rds but no indication of any problem so far.
