  1. LOL I thought I did a decent quick search to see if I could find a Surefire post (because I knew someone should have had theirs delivered before me way down here in TX).... and then I see it after I post mine. Happy New Year everyone!
  2. Surefire appears to have produced some decent 12 round magazines for the Saiga-12. And they add some serious length (its a little exaggerated b/c of my Tromix 11" shorty but should not look too dissproportionate on a standard Saiga-12 as they really are not all that long). Surefire 12-rounder: Compared to: MDArms 20-rounder: And I have heard from very reliable sources that every time someone buys a Saiga mag some liberal, somewhere, cries themselves to sleep at night. Just what I heard Be safe.
  3. I totally believe this is a gun bubble. But I do not think it has even began to get to the size it will become given the pending horizon. IF Obama decides to reinstate the '94 AWB prices will explode. Not like how it did in 1994 but the much worse. I still remember vividly paying $110 for my G23 13 round magazine because it was new-in-glock-goodness plastic wrap. back in 2001. This next ban will cause prices to be amplified and the bubble could cause prices to go as far as 1000% before it "pops" and then prices fall to only 700%-800% of what they are today. You see it is not like
  4. Thanks Emt1581. The pistol grip is the same one that Tromix Corp put on (only the finest Tapco has to offer ). I went with 11" because I plan on getting an 8" Tromix conversion soon and really wanted this tactical shoty to mimic an M4 as close as possible (which is what I have an operational background in room clearing/ patrolling/ etc). This way I do not have much cross training to accomplish switching platforms past load/unload/reduce stoppage procedures. Even my 10.5" CQB is basically the length of an M4 after you add the M4-2K suppressor (one day I might throw some pics up but its not
  5. I find my 11" Tromix Shotty entertaining and it groups well and really it is the finest shotgun I have ever handled. Now if Tony would just let me send him another Saiga-12 in a couple months to do an 8" conversion.... Thanks Tony!
  6. It depends on how much your gas ports are opened up (sounds like it is). It could (and can) lead to premature fouling. I had Tromix leave my gas ports mildly open due to the problems of an increased sized ports. Now I just have to shoot standard and full power loads (no low rim for me). Also, some Saigas just do not function well on low rim brass period but with all the gunk I wonder if your ports were drilled at a 45 degree angle away from the chamber?
  7. Here is my 11" Tromix conversion. I went with the HALO rails because I love using an EO Tech with it. Great little shot gun and 100% reliable. I want to use slugs so 11" was in my mind the minimum (though others say that a slug will stabilize at 10"). Anyone else have experience I would be interested. And IMO shortys look *evil* Tony does good work! Definitely short! Side by side comparison with a 16" M4. Fun pic in the backyard...squirrels beware!
  8. Here's my little 11" SBS Tromix creation.
  9. Maybe Mike will start shipping next month (I have not been following this just ordered back in January).
