  1. since we already milled out our 223’s would this future version be backward compatible with your existing MSA adapters in the event we wanted to upgrade? I think the milling is more to get the AR mag to fit than it is to get the adapter to fit... the mag sits higher than the adapter....
  2. what is the goal of adding so much additional weight..
  3. standard Pmgas.. I am in America now.. I have to seriously pat you on the back.. the release and everything.. SO nice.. as long as the trunion holds I will LOVE this product.. I just noticed that the front lug was contacting one side of the mag by JUST a hair.. I would still lock in.. but there was contact.. so I shaved it a little more.. and now the mags go in even easier.. I wonder if that tension on the mag could cause issue? if I need to add a BG I have no issue with that.. I am MORE than pleased with this product.. if you own a 223 saiga and an AR you SHOULD already have
  4. you make really nice stuff... I am really thrilled with it... any idea why the last round nose dives.. and will a bullet guide fix it as I suspect..
  5. no matter how soft the recoil is.. making it more soft means less time off target..
  6. people who have major issues with this IMO are not patient... it IS a pain in the ass if you try to rush through it.... if you just sit down relax.. and have at it.. there should be no issues.. also.. about the measurements.. I am going to be totally honest here... if you have a mill.. the measurements are great.. and I guess even without a mill they serve as a guide.. but my measuring was out the door about halfway through.. test fit test fit test fit test fit... over and over and over again.. the adapter will tell you where it is having trouble fitting.. look for the scratches and adju
  7. thanks.. really happy with how it runs..
  8. excuse the poor picture quality.. iphone snapshot.. gotta get it to stop denting my brass.. lol
  9. just got back from the range and put the first batch of ammo through my AR magwell equipped Saiga.... flawless with the exception of a couple nose dives... a bullet guide should resolve all issues... as long as the trunion holds this will be one of my favorite guns yet.. really like it. 10. for what its worth.. this is something I have never encountered and I have owned many Saigas.. every one of them would shoot ANYTHING without issue.. and I have shot many different pieces of wolf..the newer stuff.. the lacquer coated.. again.. no issues..
  11. laser gives up your position gets washed out in intense sunlight gets washed out at distance red dot transposes a red dot onto glass, which does not give away your location allows for longer distance shots without washing out dot.. higher quality red dots will hold zero and make for very fast shooting and target acquisition..
  12. it is not about being a fanboy.. I have an AR and am an AR fanboy.. but I also have an AK.. when I first got into guns I immediately put rail systems and other nonsense on all my rifles.. it was the thing.. had to have forward grips and all that.. then I started to use them.. and when I say use them.. I mean REALLY use them.. and I realized that a lot of that stuff made the gun heavier.. and a gun that is heavier than it NEEDS to be is a liability.. ultimately.. you want the lightest most agile gun to accomplish whatever task you are setting forth to do.. I do not believe that society is just
  13. well a couple things.. I see no need for an AR grip adapter when there are plenty of reasonable offerings that are already AK specific.. I run a hogue.. it is great.. you are talking about adding a million miles of metal rail to an already heavy rifle? for what reason.. I run a traditional AK front handguard and an ultimak tube.. it is enough for my Aimpoint red dot.. and an offset flashlight mount.. so I have a light and a dot on one small light piece of rail.. win win.. as for all the other left side charging handing.. add on safety.. etc.. the wonderful reliability that is an AK
  14. I am going to go with the MSA magwell also.. I am afraid about it a little.. but still going to do it.. I have an AR.. so it only makes sense..
  15. i think you have successfully listed every product you can possibly cram on the gun.. and it will be nice and overly heavy.. you should just buy an AR15 since that is obviously what you would rather have..
  16. the last two posts are exactly what is driving me nuts.... I want to use my pmags.. because they are reliable inexpensive mags.. I read one post that says they are fine.. and then I read another that talks about them falling out... reliability is key.. why am I getting answers that are so all over the place? not bitching just trying to understand why the mag adapter works SO well for some.. but sucks for others..
  17. Well, you lose some versatility as well. If I'm not mistaken, you can no longer do a mag hold (something that is very natural and useful on an AK), because you might accidentally actuate the adapter's mag release. what do you mean?
  18. ugh I keep going back to AR adapter... just not sure how I feel about it.. I have done several conversions.. just the whole cutting up the gun so much thing.... I already have an AR.. with AR mags..
  19. bullet guide needed? http://www.midwayusa.com/product/922148/arsenal-inc-magazine-ak-47-ak-74-sar-3-223-remington-30-round-polymer-clear
  20. circle 10s sound like the way to go.. where are there galil metal mags? I would love to use my AR mags.. and am not afraid to cut and grind.. but it just seems like too much to me..
  21. I have had a 556 before.. have an S12.. have had 5.45.. not new to Saigas.. but I have finally decided I am done with 7.62x39.. I love the round.. but I have gotten big into shooting my new AR so I want them to be the same caliber (556)... I live in a free state with no mag restrictions (PA) the gun will be 922 compliant and all that.. so what is the deal currently with magazines? want something durable.. what is the current state of AR adapters? thanks in advance..
  22. must be nice... LOL selling some guns.. thinning out the herd.. so ending up with an extra optic.. that's all.... I have a rail mount on the trijicon.. I just need a LOW forward sitting side mount rail if there is such a thing..
  23. I have HK sights.. I have an extra trijicon just hanging around.. so I figure throw it on there and see.. how can I accomplish this..
  24. so the way it looks does not matter? function over form? orly? LOL
  25. removing a stock and putting it back on during a repair or modification is not the same as creating a new firearm.. and that is the point.. the process to repair or modify is a process.. I take the hood off my car sometimes to work on it.. to get to the engine easier... I am not going to drive around like that.. a cop can not come give me a ticket because at that moment the hood is off my car.. if you took the stock off the shotgun.. and left it off loaded it up.. threw it in the trunk.. then yeah.. MAYBE issues? but I am willing to bet no one ever saw a day in court because they had an
