  1. Guess it just depends what you want. Just got a Poly Tech AKS-762 for $1200 (Video of me shooting it: ) The quality of build, lack of 922® drama, and 1.5mm receiver made it worth the change for me. Same with Norinco 84Ses, though I've found the base gun for cheaper online (if not the mags). But, yeah, heard great things about the de-banned MAK-90s too.
  2. Hmmmm, zombie thread but I have relevant info to add, going back to the OP. I own 2 Austrian made A1 AUGs and a (factory refurbished to newer generation style) Bushmaster M17S. See them (and other bullpups) here in my Left Hand Bullpup Shooting video: The only thing the Bushmaster has over the AUG (especially AUGs with rails) is price. One could argue that the M17S' plastic pistol-like BUIS are nice as they're built in and decently on target. These are better than the just for decoration irons on the original carry handle sight Swarovski Cobra 1.5X24mm, but on railed AUGs
  3. Here's a quick batch of videos showing Saiga 12s patterning w/ various ammo at various ranges. 3 Saigas (1X Saiga-12S and 2X IZ-107s) shooting Winchester Super X 9-Pellet 00 Buck And now a little more tongue-in-cheek exciting videos: My Saiga-12S patterning Remington 9-Pellet 00 Buck out to 30 yards. My Saiga-12S patterning Winchester Supreme Elite 9-Pellet 00 Buck out to 30 yards. And my Saiga-12S patterning RIo Royal buck special 9-Pellet 00 Buck out to 30 yards. Last video might not be completely safe for work, only due to language. Ye
  4. Wasn't sure where to put this as there are a couple Saigas and AK rifles, but there's plenty of other weapons too. It's been instructive that while filming in night vision to see just how much muzzle flash is being produced on different guns. Here's a little video I made showing some of the flash produced in a couple of my recent shoots. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sd-izuuHFNw The big surprise for me had to be just how much unburned powder there is from Wolf 7.62X39mm hollowpoints even after being put through a flash suppressor or a silencer (AAC Krinkov). Some of the ot
  5. Hey y'all, Hopefully I'm in the right section. Brought a newbie friend out to the range and let him hose through a bunch of weapons while building skill. Here he shoots a Glock 26, and XD in .45, a SIG Sauer P228, a Kahr PM9, a Saiga-12S, a Mossberg Breacher, and a Krebs Custom Modified VEPR AK. Enjoy, Frank http://www.franktinsmanbooks.com/
  6. Hey y'all, This is just a quick run through of raw footage of a SIG Sauer P228 firing from a couple different angles. What sets it apart is I used the Comic Book effect on Apple's Photo Booth, so it has a cartoonish look to it, though now I know for the future to light the black guns better. Still, worth a look. Enjoy, Frank http://www.franktinsmanbooks.com/
  7. Hey y'all, Last Thursday we did some shooting using my laptop's webcam and the Comic Book Effect on Apple's Photo Booth. This is some really raw footage, but some of the effects look cool enough to take a peek at. Enjoy, Frank http://www.franktinsmanbooks.com/
  8. Hey fellers, made my first little "best of" music video. A good bit of Saiga-12 action, plus plenty other guns. http://youtube.com/watch?v=HKBKtKKJbnY Enjoy, Frank http://www.franktinsmanbooks.com/
  9. Howdy fellers, Just another little video, nothing mind blowing, but always fun to see rounds blown out w/ a Saiga-12. Enjoy, Frank http://www.franktinsmanbooks.com/
  10. Hey fellers, for some reason this vid of mine gets a decent number of hits so I figured I'd share. Enjoy, Frank http://www.franktinsmanbooks.com/
  11. Just something fun I thought I'd share.... Enjoy, Frank
