OK, I went to my local gun store today and was looking at their galil mags to see if they had any Orlites. They didn't, but did have the steel ones. I tried them in the store Saiga and low and behold: they fit beautifully. If I have a feed ramp installed will they function reliably? They look freaking beautiful.

OK, so I'm looking at the Moly-Resin webpage, and it seems as though in order to apply the stuff I have to have an air brush at my disposal. If there a version of the stuff that comes in a spray paint type bottle for easier application, or am I better off sending the stuff out? I had CGW do my first conversion, and while it looks absolutely amazing, I just kinda wanna do this one myself (to see if I can, anyway). Anyway, any tips or tricks?

I hate to say it, but upon second glance, the AK with the permanent fixture for AR mags just looks really strange to me.

Maybe its just me, but personally I want something detachable. I prefer AK mags now, but would like the flexibility to use AR mags. Plus, 300 bucks is alot to spend on a custom magwell, especially since even the galil adapters are cheaper than that and removable. Looks very pretty though.

You obviously do not shoot your Glock enough, the one in our gun safe has had 20+K rounds in just the past two years. I have seen several Glock failures (one critical, the slide cracked) and numerous malfunctions (usually operator induced due to sloppy grip/stance). I do agree with you about the HK USP, tried it and hated it. The HK USP is a good reliable and accurate gun but the trigger just sucks, it is even worse if you decock and do a DA shot. HK customer service is a pain too, they seem to exclusively cater to the military and LEO community. Personally I cannot get over their mag

I really love the crossbreed holsters. They are a very sturdy high quality holster for only about 65 bucks, which aint half bad.

Yeah, hes completely wrong. There would be no point in owning a drum if it were illegal to combine with the gun. Guns such the street sweeper were outlawed by name and labelled as DDs, however I believe this is primarily due to the integrated nature of the drum. A saiga-12 has as much sporting purpose as any other semi-automatic gun, and the drum is just an extended capacity magazine (which is perfectly legal). The BATF typically won't outlaw just a magazine (I don't even think they can).

OK, so this may be just a trend that I am noticing, but looking recently on GunBroker converted Saigas are going for WAY more than they were 2-3 months ago. I'm talking about a 150-300 dollar difference in some cases! Is it just me or is the pre-election hype running the market to be far above what it would be otherwise. Hell, I'm now considering selling my recently purchased and converted 7.62 just because I could make a tidy profit on it which I could then use to buy another and convert (again). Does this actually seem to be the case or am I smoking crack here?

I know that is why I am working on it as fast as I can, I just don't want to make any mistakes. Even if the elected person goes into office it would take a few months to pass the legislation to reinact the ban. I am sure/hope it would get shot down as the previous ones have, only time will tell. Even if it did all this would do is make the adapter that much more valuable. I doubt my adapter would be listed in the ban, HiCap mags yes but not a adapter for those who already have them.
