  1. I like that One Source Tactical bolt on. Looks like it might just dot he trick. Any idea on how exactly it bolts on. No offense to the Ace guys, they'll be my stock source, but that clamp on dealy is clunky looking.
  2. Hey guys, I've seen some of the member here have a front sight base like those on Krinkovs. I like that Krink/Galil type look, with the gas tube going directly into the front sight base. K-Var sells some fsb's like that, but they're out of stock. Threaded too, that's right up my alley. Can anyone recommend a vendor who has similar options? Or perhaps there's another method. I know that style will shorten the sight radius, but I plan on getting an HK rear sight or similar (if anyone has any recommendations) that will be placed further to the rear on the dust cover if I got his route. If
  3. Hey thanks skifast! How short is it fully collapsed and unfolded? That's my biggest concern really. If you like, instead of measuring a picture of it fully collapsed and unfolded would be great.
  4. Here ya go: Strickforce Package for the AK I'm undecided on it really, the bulky joint sticking out of it seems like it would defeat the collapsible aspect since you can only collapse so far, as well not being the best folder for the same reason. Also, I think I will be buying it from David's Collectibles for $10 cheaper. We all know where to find Dinzag's stuff I think. And finally, for the brake, I'm not sure what to put on there or where I'll be getting it. I'm thinking the Tromix Shark Break to be different, and menacing
  5. I guess maybe I'm right? Is there something hanging from my nose?
  6. I've been keeping my eye on that one for a while now. It really adds to that "No, really, I'm not joking" vibe AKs have. With the side slants opening to the rear is there much blow back from the muzzle? On a shotgun I can really see the smoke coming back at you, maybe not so bad on a 7.62. That Wolf ammo smells like soviet carcinogen.
  7. Stock Saiga does not have #s 4 or 12, I added them here since I will be putting them on my rifle. (1) Receiver (2) Barrels (3) Mounting blocks, trunnion (4) Muzzle attachments (5) Bolts (6) Bolt carriers (7) Gas pistons (8) Triggers (9) Hammers (10) Disconnectors (11) Buttstock (12) Pistol grips (13) Forearms, handguards (14) Magazine bodies (15) Followers (16) Floorplates My US made parts list: Dinzag will provide for me at a considerable discount (hehe right Dinzag? No? Okay.): gas tube, piston, lower hand guard retainer, FCG, where only the FCG and piston count towar
  8. Off topic, but how's that internal bi pod? I'm weighing the pros/cons of your setup vs. an adjustable vertical fore-grip that can be moved out of the way. Anyway...
  9. I knew you'd get me for that, but when I searched yesterday I spelled wrong as well haha. It was you that got me all worried about this in the first place with your talk of "it looks like the real thing but isn't". And for that, I thank you, good looking out for other members.
  10. I searched for muzzle break info yesterday and found a nifty helpful thread with reviews and critiques and so on. And now I can't find it, so I've resorted to this. I would like those in the know to help me find muzzle breaks and flash hiders that are functional. I know some of the breaks, hiders, and compensators look like the real deal but are actually not fully functional like the real deal. I'd also like them to be US made, and any style will do. While I'm not too fond of the '74 style breaks, they are steadily growing on me. I really like the Krinkov style compensators. I don't even k
  11. I've heard much of this G2 FCG. I see Dinzag has a FCG for non-pistol grip converted Saigas. Anybody have any opinions on his? I suppose I could just ask him right haha. And can I get the G2 to work in my non-converted? From what I understand, and it's not much, the converted FCGs are a bit shorter since the pistol grip is more forward on the reciever, thus my question. Oh, by the way, I picked it up lastnight. My heart's a flutter. Field stripped it, ran some Hoppes #9 and lubricant, and some Remoil on the FCG, and then I polished her up stock and all with the Hoppes lube. Oh man, this th
  12. Those are both great, so many options, what a guy to do? I guess I'll need to buy another one, bummer.
  13. Thanks Fender, I'll poke around for those that don't need the modding. If anyone has any suggestions on which mags are better that'd be great, thanks again.
  14. Update: I've been searching the forums up and down, landed here at the "What's the easiest way to make a Saiga compliant?" That was especially helpful, I think I'm on target when I say: If I add an ACE/Tapco un-converted stock, I can only use US made mags. And anything else I want to add to my Saiga will have to be US made, rails, fore grip, muzzle break, etc... yes? And one more thing, do all US mags require that I shave something off the magazine or add a bullet guide or otherwise manipulate something somewhere?
  15. Hey guys, I should be getting my Saiga sometime tomorrow, 16" I do believe, from Centerfire Systems. This forum has been great for my research into Saiga and their products, thanks all, I'm glad to be aboard. Now, down to business: going through the 7.62 porno post (the picture post) I noticed that before I convert I'd like to see how I enjoy the other options, basically holding onto the trigger back where it is and adding either the ACE folder or Tapco adjustable stock that have the pistol grip attached to the them, or even a stock like Kymasabe's. Ace/Tapco stocks. Kymsabe's bea
