  1. If I may ask why do you suspect this thread won't continue.
  2. I was on the fence about falling on my sword and ordering, but I've been burned once in dealing with a Russian small bussiness. Cost me a $K, so I'm leary. I'll be watching what goes down with you with interest so keep us informed.
  3. A fast way to remember: You move the rear sight the direction you want the point of impact to move. You move the front sight the opposite direction you want the POI to move
  4. I went out yesterday to see if I could repeat first firing. Shot the last two boxes of Win. Uni. No problems other than wanting more shells and a bigger mag.

Make something to keep rain out. To use stick barrel into slit (at this point I pause for childish laughing) You may want to add a barrier even deeper in the hole to prevent lead from leaching into surrounding soil and to aid in recovery of the sh
  6. Just got a CGW basic conversion. Scaned all the goodies I want to add. Scaned all the how-tos on polishing, checking gas ports ect. Lubed till dripping and prepared myself for putting all the how-tos into effect, Dremel here I come. Then... I found out my son had some 5 year old Wally World Winchester Universals. Loaded 5 rds. into the Ish. mag. and did a mag dump. Every thing worked perfectly. Thanks to CGW, thanks to the AK gods and I'm going to go inside now because its dark.
  7. If you look under knife making supplies you can find kits with many different Cratex wheels for Dremels. Brownells also as some but they cost more.
  8. I use the dremmel abrasives or prep pads. They're fun little tools. They bring it to a smooth matte finish. ETA: They are also great for paint removal on the carriers to make them look bead blasted. 6 months out & the bare carrier hasn't gotten any rust yet... Strange.
