  1. Please don't use a dremel to remove material from the mag. Use a file please, yes its slower. But at least you won't go all hog happy and remove too much material. Once its gone you can't put it back. Good luck.
  2. Put it in there, they're not priced to the point where its going to hurt the wallet, and they do make a difference right?? Right? And since I'm going to SBR mine, from what I've been reading on other boards, the SBR'd Draco's as I understand it do need to meet 922r specs. Maybe someone who has done this already can chime in before we make an oopsie?
  3. The sights are interchangeable. Mine came with the proper 500 meter rear sight, but... I wanted a modified rear sight so I gave it to my Dad for his Draco, his had the 1000 meter rear. As far as being able to sight it in properly,? Ask yourself what is the farthest distance you think you'll be shooting at and see if you need that extra 4 or 500 meters on your sight. FWIW, I put a Bulgarian 800 meter sight on mine and have had no problems at 100 yds.
  4. I had a clothespin clipped to the chicken wire that holds the targets at the local range and shot it off the wire with my Browning Buckmark at 25 yards offhand. My Dad was with me and he bet me I couldn't do it again. I did it twice and quit.
  5. Patrick, thanks man! That's kinda what I thought. Since I wasn't really planning on turning the barrel down at all for this, I think I just go ahead and hog out the 74 FSA then weld it permanently like you said to the barrel after install. Hmmm, I think Will at Red Jacket has some experience with this type of thing? Any potential problems with this method? Oh Will! Where are you Will? Thanks again Anthony
  6. When I vented the handguards on my .308 I used rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip to get the dust off that I thought was causing the greyish color. Worked for me.
  7. Merry Christmas guys and gals! I will be installing a flash hider on my .308 very soon. My intention is to acquire a 24mm AK-74 front sight assembly and then procede to hog it out to the proper inside diameter for the install. First of all, I was curious as to whether or not anyone has done this yet? And second, might you have a pic with it installed? Thanks! Anthony
  8. I live in Salisbury and have converted my S-12 and S-308. I'd be more than willing to help you out if you still need it. You could PM me and I'll give you my #. Anthony
  9. About the same, but I may try to shorten it up a little. I would be seriously interested in one if it is about an inch shorter than the wave. Thanks again, Anthony
  10. Cameron, Looks great! A question. Do you have an OAL compared to the wave brake? Thanks, Anthony
