  1. Do a google search for "MG-47", there's no reason someone couldn't do the same thing with a PKM top cover.... except money & time and a little thing called the BATFE. I'll tell you what: I'll race you. (Since it's a shotgun: you might as well save a perfectly good saiga-12, and just make the gas tube & barrel from scratch.) <-just borrow the bolt & bolt carier. Lets not hijack the thread though. Keep the reciever light weight and you could walk around with a belt hanging out of her rambo style. More practical than P90 style IMHO.
  2. That's my thought. I REALLY want one. It pretty much steals what little thunder pump guns had left. That's my impression. Looking at the PAR-1's it seems like they have slots cut in the gas tube to allow the pump handle to connect. I'm not down with that, unless I can get a spare gas tube to experiment with, so I'm looking at my options as far as a slot in the dust cover with a stud in the carrier. I can't do a double side charging bar thing without making it ghetto fabulous/hacking up my front trunnion so that pretty much leaves the top as my only option. Any more info on the
  3. Makes sense, but I think this specific model has the gas piston system intact. It was described as a "experimental saiga-12 with alternative feed mechanism." I think a pump action charging handle would be a sick alternative to a MBHO for magazine changes. I'm trying to track down information on this specific mod, or I'll even settle on the PAR-1. Trying to figure out how the pump handle is connected to the bolt carrier. Is it just a push rod running back through the front front trunnion? Gas tube?
  4. Cell phone thing was surprising to me that this was possible on the consumer software level. If I had to recommend a lock to prevent bumping it would be Evva MCS, Abloy Protec, or Bilock. As a locksmith who knows a decoding/opening technique for most locks in existence, I'll say the MCS is currently the most secure one that is practical to fit to an exterior door(an X-09 isn't very reasonable IMHO). I would stay away from Bilock IMHO. Protec is an awesome lock but currently vulnerable to a wire shim decoding attack that hasn't been resolved by Abloy yet. Will be resolved i
  5. http://thegunwiki.com/Gunwiki/RecModsParOne Century PAR-1 looks like a potential source of inspiration.
  6. http://club.guns.ru/images/saiga12p.jpg Does anyone know the story on this gun? The modification looks simple to make and highly functional.
  7. I have in the past found it useful to play games with my mailing address. You can "move" in with a friend out of county, have all of your mail forwarded there,(change of address via post office/banks) and for all purposes "live" elsewhere until you can get this sheriff out of office. I can't comment on the legality of this specifically as pursuant to your MG purchase, but where you "live" can easily be interpreted to include a place you sleep once a year. It's a vague concept.
