Tried a search but didn't get an answer. How big an objective bell can you use with a low-profile side mount and clear the rear sight? Using low or medium rings. I saw one post state that using a 50mm Simmons he had to remove the rear sight. Would a 40mm clear? Any input would be appreciated.

I can't get the lever (by the rear sight) that locks in the gas tube past the nob on top of the gas tube. I am sure the answer is simple but it escapes me. Then I am somewhat "dain bramaged". I think I had this same problem several months ago and solved it by pressing on the hollow/square spring but can't get it too work. Tried search here and checked several manuals but no help. Would appreciate any input.

I want to use a scope on my .308 Saiga and would like to find a cheek rest as the scope/mount sits up high. Has anyone found one that fits? Any info would be appreciated. TIA
