  1. I bought the same hand guard for my Saiga. I thought mine was really flimsy compared to the stock unit. It takes a bit of assembly and the nuts and bolts for the assembly are really cheap and strip out rather easily. Personally, I thought it was a waste of money and I put the stock unit back on.
  2. I have one and it works great. Why would you have to co-witness? If the scope goes dead or gets damaged you just flip the lever and take it off.
  3. I have what looks like the same one for my Saiga. It works fine with a Bushnell Trophy Red Dot. I'm not that concerned if it co-witnesses when if its dead or damaged you can just pull hte lever and slide it off and revert to the regular sights. I've had mine off and on many times and it seems to hold zero very well.
  4. One guy posted how mine came with cheap furniture and I over payed for it but when he posted his own Saiga on another thread you can see that it has teh exact same furniture as mine. The preconverts are fine. I think mine is testimony to that.
  5. I have the converted Saiga from Atlantic and I'm very satisfied with it.
  6. I bought mine preconverted from Atlantic Arms. I have over 500 trouble free rounds through it and I'm very pleased with it. I am also very happy with the customer service I got from Atlantic. A few bashers have said the conversions offered by Atlantic and Classic Arms, etc... use sub standard parts but NONE of them have offered any facts to back that up. Mine appears very well put together and it shoots like a dream.
  7. I bought my converted Saiga from Atlantic Arms. Its is very smooth functioning and it works great. Its a great quality firearm. A couple guys here are posting out of some bias against buying a pre converted Saiga. If you feel you WANT to do it yourself than do it by all means. I'm sure you'll be buying the same parts the converted one comes with. Or save yourself the trouble and buy the pre convert. I think its more a matter of what you prefer to do than what quality you'll be getting. I have over 500 trouble free rounds through mine and its much more accurate that I had expected it
  8. The answer is NO!! It is to low for the iron sights. The question is why? Its a quick release mount. If the battery goes dead or the scope is damaged it take a split second to pull it off and go with the iron sights. I take mine off and on all the time. It keeps zero perfectly.
  9. I have that exact mount on my converted Saiga. Let me go check!
  10. There are a few other guys who also post on the THR that have taken the time to bash Atlantic Arms, TG, my gun, and to attack me. If you didn't bash me then perhaps I shoudn't have lumped you in there. You did post on the same thread on THR as the others. My only real reference to you was the quick rush to get all excited be I said I THINK Redstick did the conversion ( emphasis on THINK and I also said that Redstick apparantly had a very good reputation and I would be glad if it came from them). It was quickly corrected for everyone to see. I don't even normally post on this forum but OTH
  11. Like I say, it beats me. I took my Saiga with the ugly bullet guide to the range today and fired 160 rounds from 4 different mags with ZERO malfunctions. Thats over 400 malfunction free rounds fired. It seems to work OK in my book.
  12. Here is my original post on June 4th, Here is the Correction posted by Atlantic Arms a few hours later on the same day. So what was the point of dragging this over here other than for 22 shooter and Nalioth to bash the company? Beats me. You can see they have both posted on my threads about Atlantic Arms several times making all type of claims. None of which hold much value.
  13. To set the records straight the pic of the Atlantic Arms Saiga is a pic of MY converted Saiga. A less than mature member from The High Road has dragged it over here because he gets off trying to bash me or my weapon for some reason. I honestly suspect there is an ulterior motive when someone goes on numerous forums to bash a product from someone else with that much vigor. I DOUBT it's for our benefit. He doesn't mention that the thread in question was corrected. Anyone with a lick of sense who reads the thread can see that. It was an honest mistake as REDSTICK does do some of the bui
