  1. thanks! and yes you can easily view the iron sights with the aimpoint on the ultimak... = ) DamageWorld: You've got top shelf gear on your saiga except the magazine. I hope you'll spend a few $$$ and get something that won't break like that plastic POS your running in the picture.....
  2. Your not the only one, but the arsenal-KVar "circle 10" magazines *ARE* of considerably higher quality. The Tapco magazines have never given me a problem, truth be told, but promags break left and right. If you want to discover the bias of the test, maybe we could use your saiga and see for ourselves.......
  3. No one has the SGL-20 in stock yet. Atlanticfirearms.com as the SGL-10 ($799), if you don't mind putting in the work yourself. Someone told me that assuming the assault weapons ban doesn't go through arsenal will release another SGL model with a side-folding stock similar to their SLR series, so Im gonna hold out for that.
  4. i have two surefire mags that broke in the same spot.. Bingo! the Surefire magazines are about the same quality as ProMag. They do not have the inner metal lining that the arsenal magazines have. Before my bullet guide was added I had one break on me as well. The tops are particularly fragile.
  5. Maybe not an unbiased source, but here is a link to k-var's magazine test video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slzlQ-b1duA...m/shop/home.php Cheers!
  6. HillBilly: Must be user error. The SGL-20 is listed prominently on their front page as well as in the link I provided. Here it is again if your having problems: http://www.arsenalinc.com/sgl20.htm P.S. What Im smoking is none of your business!
  7. Like the man said the SGL-20 is all ready converted!
  8. Arsenal is now offering the SGL-20 (http://www.arsenalinc.com/sgl20.htm). Anyone have a price or ETA on these???
  9. To answer your initial question: yes, you took one in the rear. If you live in a state with a 30 day refund policy, I would suggest returning it ASAP. You can get the same model from atlantic firearms for $629 ( http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/beta/storeproduct433.aspx ) and for $475 from classicarms (they will not have them in stock until who knows when though). But still $800 is to much.
  10. I ordered one to see if I can make it work in my unmodded x39 - i'm hoping it will feed w/o a bullet guide like the Master Moulders do, with just a bit of filing - will let ya'll know. I think they look pretty cool actually, that's why i got one to try. I read somewhere they are super tough - like they ran them over with a tank or something and they still worked. Guess I'll find out... Sorry I don't have any steel mags to trade you. To each his own bro! I like the look of the steel mags. The Tapco ones just look over-engineered. But they work well for magazines that don't have a
  11. I've used them in my Saiga. No problems, but I've since found a good deal on some Yugo mags that hold the bolt open when the load is spent, so I really don't use them anymore. Ive got 2x dark green colored mags let me know if you want them, Id be happy to trade for 3 surplus steel mags in good condition. Tapco makes a good product, but they are ugly as all hell.
  12. Its safe to say that everyone owns that chair.....
  13. We ordered some of those mags from Cheaperthandirt a few weeks ago. I had a chance to use it last Sunday and it worked nice. They are nothing special, but seem to work well, look good, and feel solid. Cheers!
  14. Ahh, the guys site at one time said "factory converted".... dunno then.
  15. Yeah your right, a very small number of factory converted Saiga's exist with a welded bullet guide. You can buy one at classicarms.us for $499. -Cheers -BigSAL
  16. Ahh, thanks! I just ordered a saiga last week and I was gonna buy one of those! maybe Ill wait till this one comes out. Whats the price from DPH Arms???
  17. Classicarms.us has converted saiga's for $499. Ben seems to be a nice guy to deal with, I just ordered one off him last week.....
  18. Don't they already make a no screw break for the saiga? Here is one that is available right now for less than $6..... http://combatoptical.com/catalog/AK47-SKS-...DAPTOR-129.html http://combatoptical.com/catalog/AK47-SKS-...DAPTOR-129.html http://combatoptical.com/catalog/AK47-SKS-...DAPTOR-129.html Whats the advantage of this new one over the one on the above webpage?
  19. Check out this: http://riflestocks.com/catalog/product_inf...3456a7fc957cf52 One of the options is to add the sling adaptor for $10... Good Luck Man!
