  1. OK there is a lot of confusion surrounding these magazines so I want to clear some things up. 1: These are commercial magazines. They are actually a few mm thinner than surplus mags. 2: They are shipped with commercial followers. 3: They are welded (not glued like the Korean commercial units) and thus are useful as RANGE MAGS ONLY.... That being said, I would pay the extra $1 for the chinese ribless steel. Good luck guys, hope this was helpful! -Sal I would think welding would be stronger than glue? Is it just a minimum spot welding? Has anyone experienced an
  2. No one is a parasite, they are just people who want to have a say in how their government works. Also, it should be noted that the Palestinians are not the sole protesters in Jordan... nor are the protests in Jordan on the same scale as those in Egypt. ...also, this is not the end of days. Just putting it out there, but anyone who thinks these protests will trigger TEOTWAWKI are full of shit.
  3. for Egyptians the answer is clearly yes. For Americans the answer is clearly no. Hope that helps!

  7. +1 on the pics Rangemaster! Neat! I will look into testing one if I can get my hands on it, thanks for the tip.
  8. I already ordered it this afternoon! Sal, you got to try a VZ58! They are amazing!!!!!!! Ive tried them and they are nice, but I dont like the following features: 1. The safety 2. the form factor 3. the BHO feature 4. the non comparability with the Kalashnikov magazines or the lack of accessories. What I like about them is the following: 1. light weight 2. stock change system 3. muzzle device The safety is actually much easier than an AK. It only took several minutes to be more proficient with it than an AK (use the trigger finger to disengage and thumb to engage

  10. glad to hear it! Pics (when you get the proper break from CNC Warrior) Please.
  11. Your tape technique is unacceptable. If you want to make a so called "jungle-magazine-configuration" please make each end only stick out a few inches so as to minimize the over all footprint of the joint magazines. Here is an example of the proper use of tape to create a low profile: Please remove your tape and try again to avoid fail....
  12. Thanks for posting that Belloc. Dave knows his shit, and seems to have run his AK30's hard. I tend to agree that the locking metal strip is rather thin. That being said, mine have held up through a few more excursions into the woods. I am going to perform GOB's salt water test here soon as well. You should have someone ship you some real ocean water so the tests are accurate. No one is going to abuse/use these mags in a foot bath. I am close enough to the west coast where I might be able to make this happen with ocean water once the pacific northwest warms up a bit and travel becom

  14. Plenty of republicans voted for it in 94 and got reelected. What gun rights advocates never seem to grasp (to our own peril) is that people ARE NOT single issue voters. Also it seems like a "high capacity" magazine ban is more likely if people like Dick Cheney and John McCain have their way. Assuming there are a few more highly publicized shootings you can take some kind of ban to the bank. What a lot of partisan guys dont understand is that people like Harry Reid, Stephanie Sandlin, Tom Perriello and several other democrats are much better on the gun issue than a great many republicans.
  15. Untrue 300 yards is easy for a 5.45 AKSU and just about as easy for a 7.62. I had both and regularly shot them at 300 yards, hitting a 3/4 mansize steel plate is routine with irons, even simpler with a red dot. Z TX:> the 8" barrel lets the 5.45 out with 1900 FPS which is much less than a 16" barrel. I am glad you are having such good results with your rifles, but you can't tell me there is no difference in accuracy between the two lengths.....
  16. ^This. I would get the more rugged PM. You should ask your question over at www.9x18.org those guys know their shit when it comes to makarov chambered pistolas
  17. Never give an inch to these people, they'll use it to get much further. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGF1NP-FrCU Sadly, I think fighting this will be an uphill battle. The other side has the momentum. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31MZ73s447k
  18. Your welcome bro, just remember to post pictures when you get it and remove the incorrect slant brake!!! I think I am going with CNC Warrior's M84 birdcage for the VZ58 Got one ordered. I like birdcage flash hiders. go with the original CZ-Pattern, they look tight on the 58! Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
  19. If your barrel is chrome lined you should see little to no effect from corrosive ammo in the bore. Where it really starts eating your gun up are at the unchromed areas like the gas block and gas tube. That is correct, but I didnt see any difference in the gas system when I cleaned it ether, so I suspect most of the corrosive material gets spread around the chamber and bottom of the barrel. If I ever get a pure beater I dont give a shit about, I may shoot a few 100 rounds of yugo through it and take daily pictures of the corrosive effects.....
