I have been way out of the loop on Saigas and guns for that matter. I was wondering what unconverted S12's are going for these days? I saw one at a gun shop for $800 and about shit. Also could someone tell me what I should ask for for the one pictured above? Thanks

Where in Wisconsin do you live? Everytime the CC bill goes in for a vote it does very well but doesnt seem to pass. The mustang is an 86 the engine is out of an 88 turbocoupe. I plan on taking some more pictures of the car this weekend. She aint much to look at right now but shes solid and was only $800. Soon Im going to change it to 5lug and upgrade to 4 wheel discs. What kind of header you got? Can you send me pics?

how do you like your scope I'm looking to get one of thoose with the range finder in the scope wondering how well they work I like it. It fits the gun. its clear and has rangefindinging on it and an illuminated retical.

I think the Choate is better myself. Feels more robust I think. The ATI's use a really hard plastic that feels cheap to me. I also think the Choate looks better IMO.

bet with a little dremel work you could get it to fit.

Forgot to add it seems as though the mag fits better as well. It is way more comfortable and feels lighter.

Well I got my stock. Had some trouble getting it to fit right but its good quality and it looks sweet. I actually had to get the dremel out and do some grinding. But I got it too go. I dont blame the stock I'm guessing every High point metal cover is a bit different. I ordered it from Centerfire Systems because they were the only ones who had it right now. Was a bit more expensive but Oh well.

To use a drag type stock you will need to convert the gun back to its intended form. Meaning you will have to move the trigger group back to the original nonsporting location. There are many tutorials on this site. I recommend the Choate stock. It has the best quality and looks the best as far as im concerned. THe Russians have made us a SVD tyled stock that does not require any modifications to the weapon at all. We are hoping to have them here in June. ok

Is the gun brand new? Sometimes it takes a bit of break in before they will shoot light loads. Also make sure that everything is lubed and if its not new that the gas ports are clear. I have heard good things about moly lube. Do you have a buffer installed? I have heard that someimes they will effect cycling. Other than that I havent heard of many other things to do except opening up the gas ports a bit.

Did any of you notice that he said a trigger for a NONconverted saiga? There are no drop in triggers for a Non converted Saiga. Just convert it and be happy

Where did you place the dowl? On the bottom of the stock inside where the bottom storage cap comes off? Did you remove all 3 screws? There is one under the top cover.
