  1. I have a .308 and a .223, both with 16" bbls. They will both shoot 2MOA, to slightly under, with the right ammo. I had a 6X POSP and the chevron, at least to me, did not lend itself to MOA shooting. This was shooting at 100 yds.. jr
  2. This scope has had very little use(was on a .223 Saiga) and comes with the rubber eyepiece, cloth cover and printed instructions. Gray hammered finish, illuminated reticle and mounts on Saiga and AK side rails. I can't take pictures, but the scope has no dents, scratches etc., great glass. Sold the .223 it was on(kept the .308). $80, including insured shipping, to lower 48. POSTAL MONEY ORDERS ONLY. PM, or email me, thru the boards. Thanks for looking. jr
  3. I appreciate all the replies I've gotten on this problem. I'm going to have to redo the follower; I got some epoxy at Lowes, it went on great, but after 3 days it hasn't setup, so i took it off with mineral spirits. I picked up a new mag and it runs flawlessly. The one I'm working on never came up squarely in the mag body; appeared to be catching on something and I couldn't find the problem. This is my fourth AK platform gun, so tweaking them is not new to me, but for the life of me I can't see what is causing the follower to intermittently hang. I thought about putting a Robinson Arms followe
  4. Thanks guys for the help. I epoxied the follower, surprisingly looks pretty close to the modified one in the tech section, letting it dry overnight and will try it tomorrow. Got to be better than what I had! jrobb
  5. I have a new(EAA) Saiga .223 and I'm getting a bolt override on the left hand cartridges only in the mag.. If I look at the rear of the mag. when it's loaded, more of the case head is exposed on the right side shells than on the left ones. The bolt feeds the right hand shells fine, but just barely picks up the left ones and then slips off and overrides them. the result is a jam where the bullet is barely in the chamber and bent at the throat of the case throat and the bolt is jammed(on top of) on the case about a half inch from the case head. I don't have a spare mag. at this time and I don't
  6. Why does the Saiga 30-06 stand out over the 308? jrobb
  7. Shouldn't that be THE Saiga(not plural) is in? jrobb
  8. Has anyone heard if these are still a go? jrobb
  9. About a year or so ago, there was a guy in northern Illinois who was selling AK mags that were(I believe) 50 rounders. He was taking the thirty round plastic ones and cutting the top off one and the bottom off another and gluing, or epoxying, the two halves together. I think he did the same thing(attaching, not gluing) with the springs. I saw one being used and it functioned fine. He probably cut them with a band saw because the splice was only visible on real close inspection. In my idle thoughts, I've always figured the same thing could be done with the 8 rd. Saiga mags.. jrobb
  10. Not likely. Guys like that are like the guys at the gunshows who drag the same overpriced junk back year after year. jrobb
  11. Southern Ohio Guns is still showing the Australian for sale; excellent ammo. jrobb
  12. I've been considering converting mine to belt fed and screwing all these imaginary, to be announced at a later date, just hold on a little longer mag suppliers. jrobb
  13. I don't believe the part about the engineers don't surf the internet. jrobb
