Anyone catch what weapon was used? 26 dead and 20 in the hospital. Here comes another drive to ban magazines and semi-automatic weapons. Get ready for the gun control groups to seize upon this tragedy and the gun groups to plead for more cash to combat them. Obviously the killer had some kind of axe to grind with Baptists or Christians in general. Maybe he was mentally ill or just plain evil.
Edit to Add: I see the CNN article above refers to a Ruger AR "assault rifle" as the weapon used.

I think my Belgium BHP just went up in value. Love that pistol despite the 9 mm round. Great grip, control and recovery with every shot. I will never sell or trade it. When I pass, I'm leaving it to my son who is currently serving in the Marine Corp.

My condolences Chile on the loss of your stepfather. Your description of him relates that he was a good man, husband and father after throwing the bottle away as many others have done. It sounds as though he lead a full life and was ready to meet his maker. May he rest in peace. Peace to you and your family during this time of loss and reflection. I will remember both you and your stepfather in my prayers today. Thanks for your many contributions to the Forum too.

It seems Attorney General Lynch wanted to step on the story but the FBI went forward with the disclosure anyway, Makes for great entertainment watching Hillary and the DNC bunch run for cover and try to figure out what to do over the next 10 days. Nothing to see here folks. Move along and be sure to vote for the Queen. I hope they can nail her to the wall but I am not betting on it. Has anyone ever indicted a sitting President? My we live in interesting times.

Voting isn't working.
We don't need to amendmen the constitution and add term limits. We need to vote those who dishonor their word, or vote against their constituents, out of office. Push for recall elections, protest their actions, hold them accountable for their misconduct and not default to the old "well nobody is perfect. He's the lesser of 2 evils" excuse.Remember it's the Electoral College that elects the President, not us peasants or even the welfare kings and queens. What if by some miracle Trump wins the popular vote but the College elected Hillary? I am convinced that virtually any system we put into place will be subverted by those given to corruption. Even if you put in term limits it means those who intend to abuse the system will do so quicker. I don't have a lot of faith in man but I do in God. We will not see a perfect government until His Kingdom comes. Until then we do the best we can which may involve insurrection to overcome the vast corruption. Push it back to the states and local level and downsize the Federal Government in a major way. Its' become a monster after 200 + years.

Sometimes prayer has to be backed up by action on our part.
I view the reason as consequences for a sinful and disobedient nation. Think of the abortion issue alone. It is horrifying what we are doing as a people. But there is also much more. Disobedience always brings consequences! We are spiraling downward at an increasing rate. I feel for our children and grandchildren.

You have more confidence in the electorate than I do. I don't see the accountability. Many voters do not have a clue and the twisted media does not help.

I am old enough to vote by absentee ballot. I will be dropping the family's ballots off directly at the township offices Monday. Living in Michigan with the residue of organized labor the State usually goes blue. I hope this election will be different. I can't imagine 4-8 years of that cackling old hag, her lack of integrity or her uber liberal politics. "We don't need no stinking Clinton's". Trump better step up his game in the final days before the November 8 election.

Trump is not a statesman or refined politician and has his warts but at least he supports the Constitution, the Second Amendment and conservative justices on the Supreme Court. In Hillary's world all things liberal are good as long as she gets to be queen. She certainly believes in and practices elitism. She is so hungry for power she would kill her own mother to become President. She is one evil woman!
