  1. I got this email yesterday: "Dear Beta Tester, First let me thank you for your help and patience so far in making this project possible. Today we shipped all, but a small handful of the beta test units. Unfortunately, your product did not make it through quality inspection for the hard anodize finish and is being stripped and refinished. We are doing our very best to get the problem corrected so we can ship to you by the end of this week. While this project has taken considerably longer than expected we believe you will find the finished product to be well worth the wait. Your tra
  2. It's brass and non corrosive. I shot a couple hundered rounds through a converted x39 and and SGL. Both functioned perfectly with pretty nice groups at 50yds. I decided to save the rest of it and shoot cheaper steel cased options for the time being. I like the idea of having some brass cased stuff in reserve.
  3. Thanks. I was getting nervous that my email bounced the 2nd half of the deposit request or something.
  4. Any Fed, Rem or Win boat tail soft point in 150gr should work very well. However, Hornady is my personal preference.
  5. I received an update from BR3G and want to share for those who may not be on his mailing list, but are looking for a quality wood option. Abbreviated message as follows: "I hope that this message finds you well. I am working towards having some ready-made sets available in a variety of styles that I believe will fit the widest range of interests and make best use of my resources. I hope to have a revised portfolio available that will better represent what I can offer at present. I plan to focus only on Saiga rifles and shotguns, with both sporting buttstock and rear end conversion to AK
  6. BattleRifle3G's work is top notch. I've contacted him a couple times. Last I heard, it would be many weeks (potentially months). I spoke with Rhineland Arms this morning, (Great customer service at Rhineland Arms by the way). They said their stocks, (lower handguards) will fit a 308. They have reworked the formerly aluminum barrel clamp, now steel, and the steel clamp should be ready next week.
  7. Thanks Guys. As you can see, I was digging through some pretty old posts to try to find the answer. My goal is to dress a S.308 in a little more traditional hunting configuration. For me, this means black walnut. I was thinking the "Saiga Scout Stock" handguard from Rhineland Arms might be a good place to start. I have Ironwood on my SGL 21 and will definatley go to them for the buttstock. All finished off with a 5rd from csspecs. As I picture this set up in my mind, it looks pretty sweet and would make a solid white-tail rifle with nice follow-up shot capability. In Minnesota, I've rarely rea
  8. Along these lines, I would also like to know if the .308 accepts the same buttstock and the x39. Also, are all Saiga (rifles) interchangable. ie x39 Lower HG on a .308? Or is there too much barrel thickness on the .308?
  9. Where is your foregrip from? Clean and classy. Really nice look.
  10. Odd indeed. Not that it mattered to the possum, but is your 7.62 converted restored?
  11. Once the FCG is where it's supposed to be, you'll really like it.
  12. Yep. Put it on upside down and make sure it's seated. Then twist 180 degrees. Done.
  13. One of each, but if I could only have one, it would be in traditional wood furniture, (preference for ironwood's black walnut over com block laminate).
