  1. Within that 1 big hole are 3 smaller holes. I just noticed it tonight when cleaning mine.
  2. Thanks Tony the issue has been resolved. I was able to thread the new break all the way using some anti-seize. It lined up about 98%. Just off by a little but good enough that the port holes were far enough on the top. I don't think I'll need loctite. It's on there pretty good. I'll shoot the crap out of it tomorrow and see how it holds up. Thanks again for the 1 week turnaround too. Chuck
  3. Thanks Tony. I don't have a set of calipers so will get it in the mail to you tomorrow.
  4. Got it from MAA. I see what you mean by cone outwards but I just looked at it and it doesn't.
  5. Here is a little video of what I am talking about.
  6. The play disappears when tightened all the way up.......Just when I back it off a 1/2 turn it gets enough play that I can move the break ever so slightly from left to right, up down......
  7. Here is the problem, when I screw the break on to where it needs to be set it has play from side to side and up and down. Not just looseness on the threads. This means that if I attempt to loctite it, it may not set straight and actually be on an angle. I may have to take a pic or small video to show what I mean.
  8. Got my Shark break today and cannot get it indexed correctly. Hand tight the holes lineup on the bottom. No way to get another 1/2 turn. If I back it up 1/2 turn it sits way to loose. I searched past threads and found that using loctite should be used to index. I can't see how loctite will help with the amount of looseness. I tried teflon tape and wrapped it as much as I could but the break is still not tight enough. Any suggestions before I throw the friggin thing across the room.......!?
  9. Looks like you lose the sling mount. I am reluctant to purchase if that is the case. I really like it but cant justify $79 plus a seperate rail sling mount that will cost another $30-$40..........
  10. Thanks again to all who responded.
  11. The AGP 10 rounder counts as 3 parts (body, follower & baseplate). So I can just use a 10 round mag and change out the stock and add a pistol grip? Sounds easy enough...........
  12. Thanks for the responses guys! I would like to keep things simple. Based on what I understand I need to have 5+ U.S. parts to stay compliant? So if I changed out the following would I be OK? 1) Tromix Shark Break - 1 part 2) M4 Collapsible or folding Stock with pistol grip - 2 parts? 3) 12 Gauge 10 Round AGP Magazine - 1 part 4) US made handguard - 1 part
  13. I just picked up a Saiga 12 and started looking for parts to mod it with. Seems I have to change enough parts to stay compliant? I just want to change the stock to a folder, add a pistol grip, shark break, front site and handguards. Will that be OK or do I need to dump a ton of money into this thing to make it stay compliant? Are those parts plug and play or do any involve drilling, filing etc...? Appreciate any comments and suggestions........
