  1. +1, I won't order from ammoman or cheaperthandirt anymore.
  2. yea my Saiga AK has Tapco fixed stock which has a steel buttpad and it hurt a little when I first shot it because I was not mounting it correctly. Now, it doesn't hurt at all with just a t-shirt on.
  3. I have a Tapco stock on my Saiga 7.62x39 and the button on the rear of the top cover is hitting and scratching my glasses when I'm shooting standing... Does anyone have the same problem???
  4. I have a converted Saiga 7.62 AK from classic arms and I was wondering how light the trigger is? It seems pretty light.
  5. My Classic Arms Saiga AK came with a TAPCO mag. They work fine and I had no jams but I heard the top of the magazine is not steel reinforced like Bulgarian waffle mags so you might not want to store them with rounds loaded.
  6. These are made by Pro-Mag Now you see why Pro-Mag has the reputation it has. BTW, while you access to both, compare the two. Don't laugh too hard at the sheer craptitude of the Pro-Mag when compared to a real functional magazine. What about TAPCO waffle mags? My Classic Arms conversion came with a TAPCO mag and I never had a jam.
  7. I have shot just Wolf in my Saiga and found rusting in the gas tube. I cleaned it before I went to a range and there was rust again the next day because I didn't clean it after I got home from the range. Also, how do you clean the gas port that is connected to the barrel?
  8. I have a Classic Arm's converted Saiga AK 7.62x39 and it came with a used Soviet(I think) magazine and a new Tapco magazine. The soviet magazine works fine but with Tapco magazine, bullets are deformed when they are chambered. I bought a Hungarian 30rd magazine and it cause worse deformation. It looks like the tip of the bullet is hitting the bullet guide. I haven't had any misfeed or jams but when the bullets are chambered they look like it was cut with a knife and I think it affects accuracy. I'm using Wolf Military Classic JHP rounds. so right now only the used Soviet magazine works per
  9. I just found this link. http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/AK-47_Operator's_Manual "Set the rear sight for the desired range by pressing in on the slide catch and moving the slide bar along the leaf until the front edge of the bar is aligned with the line below the number that corresponds with the range in meters (figure 17)." so it seems picture "A" is correct?
  10. I need the same questions answered myself! I just took my new Saiga 7.62 to the range yesterday myself. Mine was also shooting on the bottom left of the paper at 25 yards, and I had to aim at the top right corner of the target paper to stay on the paper at all at 50 yards. Not horribly off, but I don't know how to adjust it. This is my first real rifle that I have bought new and need to sight in myself. Kinda lost. How did you adjust your point of impact to the right? I need to pull mine up and right like you did. Also have no idea about the rear sight settings. I messed with them m
  11. I'm new to rifles and I bought a converted Saiga from Classic Arms last week. I took it to a range yesterday and it shot 4 inches low and 4 inches left at 25 yds. I fixed the windage with a punch and a hammer. Do I just adjust the rear elevation to shoot it higher or do I need a sight tool to lower the front post? Also, I've heard that you need to sight in at 25 meters and leave the rear sight at 100m setting. I'm not sure if the adjuster cylinder thing should line up on the bottom or top (see the picture below)? For 100m setting, is picture A correct or B? Any tips for a Saiga newb wo
