Oh and another question...what size drill bit did you use in order to drill the holes for the screws to hole the buttstock in place? I have a K-Var buttstock if it matters...

I'd gotten my conversion parts from Dinzag a couple of weeks ago and I wasn't doing anything yesterday so I decided to jump into my first conversion for my Saiga 7.62 carbine... The triggergaurd removal/install and pistol grip install went really well, not a problem there... I had some trouble with the FCG install, it turned out the front bolt on the triggerguard[the one that goes into the magazine release] was too long and was preventing me from lining up the hammer assembly correctly to install the pin and hitch pin. Good luck, I was in the same predicament until just a few hours ago. I missed out on the $299 Classic Arms Saigas, ordered one from Centerfire only to be told a week later that it had been backordered, couldn't find them anywhere else. Saw one on GunBroker for $299 and used the Buy It Now option, hopefully when I call them tomorrow it won't have already been sold.

Hey MD, I'm located in SE Pennsylvania. Looks like I may have to put this project on hold, I can't find a Saiga rifle for a reasonable price! I had ordered one through Centerfire Systems last week and I called today to check on the status and apparently it was backordered and they never told me. That's just great! Decided to order a CMP Service Grade Garand and if I see a Saiga at the gun show I'm going to in two weeks I'll pick that up too.

Where do you guys go to buy your parts? I'm waiting for my Saiga 7.62x39 to get to my FFL before ordering my parts but when I find out if I need a single or double hook I'd like to order everything in one shot to prevent paying more shipping than necessary.
