I used it on mine, I don't have any frame of reference because it was my first conversion but I thought it was a pretty neat simple way to hold everything in. When I was putting the BHO lever back in the axle pin was getting hung up on it and I thought it was getting hung up on the BHO spring, it was kind of annoying for a minute because I couldn't figure out what was going wrong. But that was user error, no blame on the part. As soon as I slowed down and stopped trying to force it to work everything lined up fine. Worth $10 for ease of use. Edit: Still have no idea what the keyhole shaped

I believe you need the bullet guide to use any magazines except factory Saiga magazines or aftermarket mags made specifically for Saigas.I know the Tapco mags I bought need a guide to work. Of course Tapco may be the only US made magazine that isn't designed for a Saiga, I'm not sure. The Saiga magazines have a raised lip that brings the cartridges in line to chamber, other magazines sit too low. After the guide is installed you can file your mag catch a little so it will accept other magazines if you don't want to file all your magazines individually. +1 for doing the conversion. It wasn't as tricky as I thought it might be and was very rewarding. I bought the T6 for my first Saiga and while it was an improvement on the original stock I'm much happier with the conversion I did on the Saiga I just bought. Trigger is crisper, balance is better. I believe the PG that comes on that stock counts as an actual pistol grip and requires 922r compliance. I used American mags to fix that. Another advantage to the conversion though; new trigger group (3 parts) + American stock and handguard brings me to compliance and I can legally use foreign steel
