  1. hey guys, I want to know if any one has tried this 22lr conversion for their .223 saiga or if it will even work? I haven't been getting too much trigger time on my saiga .223 and am looking for a less expensive way of shooting it right now. If you scroll down a little on the given page it shows the kit for .223 ak 47's. Thanks in advance for any help. http://www.22lrconversions.com/ak-pg.htm
  2. Hey guys, I've had my 16" Saiga in .223 for about 8 months now. Now with the availability and cost of .223 I've been cutting back on shooting it. Does anyone know if there is a .22 lr conversion kit for the Saiga .223 like the ar-15 conversion kits? I did a search in google and here on the forums but nothing comes up. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  3. I don't mean to knock leapers but I've had 3 scopes form them and I don't like the the clarity all to much. I've since switched to Bushnell and have no problems. Very clear and lots of light. You can get a good 4x Bushnell for $80-$90 bucks. I am also looking into getting a psop for my saiga .223. But I'm tired of buying junk. If I can't find a good psop I just might end up going with another low magnification Bushnell.
  4. The closest place to my house was selling them for 399 before the election so I bought it. I checked the website to see if it went up in price, and now they want 699 for one! Can you believe it? What dirt bags!

If you haven't changed out any parts and are using stock magazine then I don't think you have to change out any parts since it is in compliance with 922. Here is the link to the 922 parts count thread: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=18530

  7. Good iron sights are more important and practical to me. They are not back up for me. They are primary and any optics are supplementary.
  8. Hello everyone. I just bought a saiga in .223 with the 16" barrel. I haven't picked it up yet as I just started my 10 day wait yesterday. I've heard that saiga's (ak's in general) have bad iron sights. I have an sks that I think has similar sight system. I have 20/20 vision and it still can be rather difficult for me to aim in some conditions. I was wondering what people have done here to improve the iron sights. I saw a rear aperture sight on cheaperthandirt.com, but it had bad reviews. What about any "glowing" front and rear sight?
